Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with this teaching hospital Endos. Well let me give you the intro and what has been following. To begin with I am in my early 40's with a total T of 367 ng/dl and Testestorone % FREE at 1.27 range is 1.1 - 2.8 and Testosterone FREE 46.5 pg/ml range is 35.0 to 155.0 insummary he said this results were taken in the early morning hours so that means at the end of my last dose (I put androgel 5g at 7 Am) and the blood was taken at 8Am that day before I put androgel so that when I put the gel he said if I tested then it will be really high normal so you don't have to worry about anything except for some other problem and said is mild he would like to do bone density test becouse my calcium is a little elevated did some urine test so he convences me about the need for Testosterone as for HCG he said no no can Do not for size or any need at this time. So six month he said but I have one specialist he refer me to wants me to do semenanalysis first and then LH,FSH.Test and E2 so next will be going to him but I am going to pay out my packet becouse the lab I go to he does not like (he refers another one)thinks does better reading.so what do you advise me fellas any insight to what I should do now also should I take zinc,magn..and vitamin C .Well sorry for the long letter but does it make sense what he is talking about are't you guys doing the same I mean take the blood test before your next cycle ?? please let me know as this has been bothering me. Thanks inadvance. Jack Quote
Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Hi Jack What I think your medic is saying is: Keep taking the TRT . The dose is OK as the blood tests taking prior to you applying the next dose are not deficient just low and so when you apply the gel this will place your T levels as needed. The seminal testing and pituitary hormones is for fertility and to ensure your pituitary functions. Any decision to use HCG would follow only after those tests and agreement between the 2 medics. Remind us how long you have been taking Androgel. Hope this helps? _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ Dr's refusal to HcG > Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with this > teaching hospital Endos. Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 ---Hey peter thanks Yes I know what he means but I want the upper one third range of everything like most of you guys how could I convens them. And FYI I have beeb on Androgel for the last five years. I noticed that my LH and FSh has been gown down to zero now does that mean I am sterile or something to that effect? Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I.m right in the middle of your situation, I've been on androgel for about 2 years and I asked my doctor about the my testicular shrinkage, and I asked him wouldn't hcg bring them back. He said he wouldn't prescribe anything because my hmo wouldn't pay for it unless I needed sperm to make a baby ( I'm 56). I asked him if he would give me a prescription and I'd buy my own, and he just wasn't interested and just shook his head no. So now I'm on my own so I'll either go to Mexico, about 130 miles south of me and get my own hcg and possibly dostinex or both, trying to figure out what I need. I,m also on hgh because I had 2 very low IGF-1 tests (60 on a scale of 90-360) and a growth hormone stimulation test I failed. >From: " Randle " <peter_randle@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: Dr's refusal to HcG >Date: Wed, 8 Feb 2006 04:04:11 -0000 > >Hi Jack > >What I think your medic is saying is: > >Keep taking the TRT . Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Jack I never had good luck with Endo's I don't even want to get started talking about them. To me they just are not good at treating low T. I was told the same thing my lab is not good the Endo wants me to use the lab he use's. I would have to pay for it my plain would not cover his lab and the reasion for this was he owned the dam lab and was just tring to make more money. All I can say is you need to find a Dr. that is good a treating men with low T. We all go through this you need to call Dr.'s and ask if they treat a lot of men for Low T and if they check for high E2 Estradiol. Also ask if one is Secondary do they use HCG to treat them. Also ask if they use Arimidex to keep E2 down. You will know if you have found a good Dr. One more thing a lot of guys I talk to at MESO there family Dr.'s work with Dr. over the phone. He said in a post that he has never got an Endo to work with him yet he trains Dr.'s on how to test and treat low T. Post where you live and maybe someone knows a good Dr. Phil Jack <myhormonez@...> wrote: Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with this teaching hospital Endos. Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I was on Androgel from the day it came out and my Dr. told me the rep said to test before putting on the gel it stays just under the skin and puts T into the blood for 24 hrs. before going down. If one tests after putting on the gel it will spick the test and not give a good result. I had my results come back over 1800 putting on the gel first. One 5g tube of Androgel did not get my levels up high enough hell 10 g only got me to 600 still to low for me. A lot of men doing the gels with HCG have good levels with low E2. Jacks levels are not high enough and he has been on it a long time. Phil Randle <peter_randle@...> wrote: Hi Jack What I think your medic is saying is: Keep taking the TRT . Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Larry try getting your Dr. to work with Dr. over the phone doing this will get you what you need if he will not do this ask Dr. if he knows a Dr. in your area that will work with him. Good luck bring back HCG from Mexico don't get busted. www.allthingsmale.com Phil Larry <desertroads@...> wrote: I.m right in the middle of your situation, I've been on androgel for about 2 years and I asked my doctor about the my testicular shrinkage, and I asked him wouldn't hcg bring them back. Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Hi Phil & Jack Yes Phil, I agree. I did not write or certainly did not intend to write anything different. What I said was the blood test will show a lower nadir level as the daily dose has not been taken at the time of the blood test which is the correct way with Gel, injection or any other form of TRT. As to the rest of my response to Jack I was not sure how long he had been using Androgel and so assumed it was recent for the sake of a reply. As he is seeing another specialist soon for more tests including pituitary hormones then it may well be his consultants are thinking of other combinations. As to increasing the Androgel are you not on injections now? Like me I did not respond to Gels but I think there is a upper limit unlike shots for TRT. If Jack needs £ or more sachets perhaps he would be better with shots? Just a thought. For my own part I am waiting for latest blood test results after Nebido and wondering if I might need something for E2 or ? Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Hi Phil Yes, and I are in contact also direct email. This was my first shot of Nebido. I certainly have not felt as if the Testosterone level as constant during the first few weeks. I will ask the secretary for my blood test results taken 2 weeks ago. I was too ill to travel to the hospital last Monday to get the results from the prof. However, 10 years ago it took more than one shot to restart and rebalance my hormones and so I am more concerned to see progress than " miracle over night success " ! My T level was 6.1nmol/L prior to starting Nebido so I will be interested to read my results when I get them. How is your virus illness? Here in the UK there has been a spate of chest infections since November affecting people quite badly. Obviously we all want to get the best sort of results for our own situation. However, on the gels once you are at the 2 sachets per day level you MAY need to consider other treatments like injections which I think both Phil and I are doing. I tried 2 sachets of Gel (Testogel) for months and just had to return to shots. Hope this helps? Good luck with the fertility endocrinologist. _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ Dr's refusal to HcG >> >> >> > Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with > this >> > teaching hospital Endos. Guest guest Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Is his name Phil like mine anyway I hope it works out for you for it drove up his E2. I am still on my butt with this dam infection I am hoping after this bout my Dr. will put me on HGH to help my low Immune system. I can't keep taking Antibiotics like this I am on the 4th refill. Phil Randle <peter_randle@...> wrote: Hi Phil Yes, and I are in contact also direct email. Take care _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ Dr's refusal to HcG > > >> Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with this >> teaching hospital Endos. Guest guest Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Phil Yes his uses because when he joined there was you - already a Phil!!!!! We are at the same hospital and so monitoring things. May I also suggest you ensure you are not moving to Diabetic. Our immune systems are low with such illnesses but when I suddenly needed repeated antibiotics it turned out to be a symptom of Diabetes. As soon as I took Metformin I could reduce the use of antibiotics as well as some of the other symptoms subsiding. Diabetes can cause a lot of infections. How is your wife now? When she went to hospital and reported those symptoms pain into the arms etc I said I had similar symptoms. The MRi has shown my neck (cervical spine) is crushing my nerve bundle and so I need surgery to release the nerves otherwise I will lose use of my arms and hands. _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ Dr's refusal to HcG > > >> Hey ppl I am really frustrated not getting proper treatment with this >> teaching hospital Endos.
