WEll, had gyne surgery last week it went well.

I am have having problem though with androgel, I started 6 weeks ago

on the gel with T at 350 [ 400-122 range] , mid june I was at

266, last week retested at 166!

endo going on vacation till august 11th, his solution was to to

increase androgel [ which I have allready] till he gets back.

I am going to another doc tuesday, I feel like shit

If your Endo started you on 5 grams of gel and you went down in your levels this

happens. Your levels were 350 when you started you add androgel say 5 grams

this is what the starting dose is. In the insert the last time I read it it

says to check levels in 2 weeks. Hear is what can happen your brain sees the

gel putting the T into your blood so it stops sending the LH message to your

testis to make T. So the gel might have got you up to 616 the LH goes down and

your left with what the gel is doing 266. Most go up to 10 grams and get there

levels up to about 600 to 700. I don't know what your dose was on the second

labs but if you were on the same dose and went down to 166 you need to try 10

grams. If this dose not get your levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs

range then your skin is not letting the gel through. You need to switch to

shots.

I feel the need to tell you Endo's are not good Dr.'s for this they just don't

know enough about it. We have one or two men here that have a good one the rest

have bad stories about them. I have seen 7 of them in the last 25 yrs not one

helped me they set me back taking me off TRT for what they call a base line lab.

Sending me to there labs that they own saying my labs are no good. My BCBS

would not even pay for this labs all they found out taking me off my meds was

how sick they made me. And still they did not get it right. I have been told I

am Primary meaning my testis don't work. Just 2 yrs. ago I found out on my own

I am secondary meaning my Pituitary is not working right. Now after all these

yrs. we are treating all the things that were low normal on my labs and I now

feel good only took 23 yrs.

You need to find a good Dr. the one that helped me the most I never seen him he

helped me posting at a forum like this one. Go to his site and read TRT: A

Recipe for Success and his HCG Update. He puts this out there free for us and

are Dr.'s he is one of the best man's hormone Dr.'s out there.

If you can get your family Dr. to work with him over the phone to test and treat

you he dose this. Also men drive or fly out to MI. to see him after he sees you

once he then can treat you by Email or over the phone.

Good advise there. My new Dr. is very open minded. I took this paper to him last

week along with the updated HCG protocol. We wrote my name on the top and said

he would definately read it. He said his patients learn from him and he learns

from his patients. Almost makes you want to cry! Maybe that is my high E2? I

said Dr. recommends small doses of HCG along with TRT for a couple of

reasons. He said that sounded reasonable.

I was 350 T pre androgel, 3 weeks at 4 pumps put me at T 245

, the next 3weeks at 6 pumps put my down to T 166 , I cant see

how going to 8 pump is going to really help me, I really think the

T CYP shots are in order

I need to ask how do you put it on. I would get up shower then shave by this

time I am dry. I would put 5 grams on my left side upper arms and shoulders and

down my back as far as I could reach. With Androgel you need only to spread it

over this area then let it dry from wet do not rub it in well. This I did the

other side the same way anything left on my hands I rubbed on my sides. If your

do it this way then I would say it's not geting through your skin and you need

to switch to shots. Start at 100 mgs every week. Check your levels in 8 weeks

if your not up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range for both Free and Total T

then go to 125mgs every week also keep your estradiol down near 20 pg/ml here

Do you shots your self and you don't need a dam big size needle you can do shots

with a small 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle the oil comes out of the vile slow so I

just pull the plunger all the way down and hold it the oil comes out in about 2

min.'s.

Don't let your Dr. talk you into shots every 2 weeks this just puts you on a

roller coaster ride up after the shot then way down until the next one.

I got a good doc now, she started my on 200 T cyp shot 1 time a

week and HCG 3x a week

200 T cyp is a little much, I will use less and inject every 3

or 4 days with a smaller dose.

I was doing 150 mgs. of Depo T shots every week my levels would only get to 600

at the time my labs range was 262 to 1593 so 600 is low. I eat up the T as fast

as I take it. So I got me Dr. to let me add in HCG he told me to do 500 IU's

3x's a week for 15 shots. We did my labs and my levels doubled. So I am on

Primary one problem was doing this drove up my E2 very fast and I need to take

one mg. a day of Arimidex to keep it down.

Then I read Dr. Shippen " The Testosterone Syndrome " author was now doing shots

every 3 days subQ to keep leveled and to hold down his E2 levels.

My Dr. let me try this do for the last year and a half I have been shooting

70mgs of 200mgs./ml of Depo T every 3 days. And doing my HCG 400 IU's the 2

days each in between the T shots. This is great my levels are in the upper

800's from Quest and my E2 is much less a problem I only do .25mgs of Arimidex

every 3 days now to keep e2 down. My levels are very steady now.

Ok try to start at 100mgs a week and on the 5th and 6th days each after this

shot do 250 IU's of HCG this will keep your levels up for the next T shot and

keep your testis working.
