Ed,

The Champion is a much better juicer for live enzymes and nutrients. You can get one for 179.99.

Re: juicers

We have a juiceman juicer and have had real good luck with it. we got itover the internet for 59.00 and shipping(6.00?) It juices well and is nottoo hard to clean up(that's still the hard part) We try to run thedishwasher right away with the parts so we don't have to hand wash the partsexcept for the cutting blade. When it gets dull or can't be cleaned we willjust pitch it and replace it. The pulp appears pretty dry so juice must begetting out. Soft fruits or vegetables are a problem but we usually washthem and put them in distilled water to firm them up(ie beets, carrots ,beans, celery) If they get too limp or rubbery, the cutter has a hard timeand the machine gets gummed up. I wonder if anyone has a Champion and whatthey think of that, although I think they run over $300, six times the costof this juiceman. EdSubscription email: mailto:bowel cleanse-subscribe

I just bought a Sampson juicer and it also can handle wheatgrass, one of my reasons for choosing it over a Champion.

It works quite well.

Juicers

Hi, recently I used a champion juicer. The dry pulp from carrots was quite warm to touch after going through the juicer, that is no good. I also used a samson juicer and the dry pulp was quite cold. The carrot juice from the samson tasted noticeably better than juice from the champion. These juicer are not used for culinary purposes but for important enzyme production, so heat from the juicer must be eliminitated as heat destroys the vegetable enzymes. I dont sell juicers or have any financial interest in juicers. This recommendation is just a personal opinion. Other juicers may be better. Ask your health food store about low heat, low speed juicers they have. A cheaper, high speed juicer is not nearly as good. Even small temperature spike at the cutting edge, will decativate vitamins and enzymes. The ones I recommend are samson and Omega 8000 Twin gear.moonbeamhttp://www.fernsnutrition.com/juicers.htmlhttp://www.fernsnutrition.com/samson_juicer.html$299http://www.juicebars.com/juicers/omega8000.htm$399 Omega 8000 Twin Gear JuicerThe Omega 8000 Twin Gear juicer works on a horizontal axis, and ejects thepulp for continuous juicing. The Omega 8000 juicer unit uses two gearsthat masticate against one another at a slow speed (90 rpm). The pulpthat is ejected from the Omega 8000 Twin Gear juicer is virtually dry. Efficiency is very high, regardless of the type of juice being made. TheOmega Twin Gear will juice any fruit, vegetable, sprout, wheat grass, orleafy green that can be juiced. The Omega Twin Gear juicer is powered by a two horsepower motor, coveredby a five year warranty. In a high volume environment, the Omega's 2 hpmotor can continuously process produce with negligible heat build-up ormotor taxation. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are not only pleasing to the palate. There are numerous health benefits to drinking them. In order to obtainthe maximum health benefit from the fruit or vegetable juice, it must beprocessed with as little heat exposure as possible. fresh fruits andvegetables contain millions of micronutrients, and enzymes that allow thenutrients to function. Enzymes are destroyed when exposure to even minorspikes in heat. With the Omega Twin Gear juicer heat buildup isnegligible. Generally it is recommended that vegetable and fruit juicebe consumed as soon as possible after production, the juice from the Omegaunit has a much longer shelf life than other machines (up to 48 hoursGet HUGE info at http://www.cures for cancer.ws, and post your own links there. Hi everyone.......I began the Hallelujah Lifestyle 6 weeks ago......I investigated every juicer on the market....the one place that had the best price above ANY other company is at www.gulfcoastjuicers.com....you can call them at any time day or night......they're tremendously helpful and you pay NO shipping charges, what a deal......and believe me they have everything you could want....and no, I do not receive any compensation for endorsing this company, just trying to help you all save a bundle on health products...I purchased the Green Life and it is awesome, the juice last 48 or more hours, and the carrot pulp is cool and as dry as paper....blew me away!

Hi all,

I agree with you Dyanne respect to Green Life. I bought it also about a month ago, and it is easy to use, with slow movements and no heat produced, with twin gears and very easy to handle. WE used to do many juices there, and kept them in canned jars for all day. The flavour kept good.

Good luck,

carlos

We have a Greenlife & like it, although it is our

first juicer and we have nothing to compare it to. We

would really like some ideas of what to juice besides

carrots.

Sorry, everyone! I didn't realize the number of different kinds of

juicers out there. I added lots more brand names. Hopefully this

time I got them all or at least a good number of them. This will

help people decide which juicer is a better buy.

Thanks, everyone...

I have a Champion and have used it for 10 years. I had to get a new

blade a few years ago. It is starting to get hot when I juice for a

long period of time, but it works on everything except wheat grass.

I haven't tried the balls, but will. I have done parsley with other

juices like carrot. I usually will send it thru and catch what comes

out to send it thru again. My friend has a Green Power and loves

it. I probably will get that for my next juicer, but until my

Champion croaks I'll not get another. It's been a work horse. I

also don't find it hard to clean, compared to the cheap one I

started out with. The Green Power seems simple to clean however I've

only used it a time or two. When she juices apples the pulp comes out

dry, my champion it's more like apple sauce so I send it thru a few

times.

Hi:

I've had a Green Power for 6 or 7 years and like it a lot. It was

the first juicer that I've owned, and I thought that it was

difficult to clean, so I bought a Braun - like the Juiceman Jr.,

only better. The Braun was harder to clean than the GP. Also, I

learned how to clean the GP in about 3 minutes. (I don't use the GP

brush on the housing where gunk is hard to get at, I use a bottle

brush.)

One thing you might consider is that the Green Power extracts more

juice than other juicers so in the long run it could be cheaper,

depending on how much you juice. (You can find output comparisons

at various Internet sites.) I also like to juice at various times

during the day so I only clean it once in the evening. Between

juicings I run water through it so it doesn't dry out. Juice bars

only clean their's once a day and the bars I've been to are all gear

driven. I also juice wheat grass at times, and it's really handy to

have the GP for that. I'm of the opinion that it does the best job

of the non-commericals for garlic, and that is really important for

me. I just find it very handy.

Try this:

Pineapple juice, frozen blueberries, banana, a little seltzer water, and any

other fruit of your choice for a drink. It's gr8.

I have an Acme. It wasn't cheap and that was many years ago. I hope it is

adequate because I am stuck with it. There is definitely juice that comes out

of it so how could it be bad?

Centrifugal juicers are totally inadequate.

The best juicers by far are the Norwalk and K & K grinder-press-types, but they

cost $1500-$2000.

Masticating juicers are definitely next best. Champion's adequate and most

economical.

I heard something like that (from a biased source) re: the masticating juicers,

suggesting that next to the Norwalk and K & K, Champion's next best (due to having

the weakest magnetic fields).

OK, thank you I will check now for this Masticating type, it sounds

like a good lead to me. So far all I found in presses are big and

expensive. This is probably my best news today. Thanks again. :-)

,

When I checked with a group that had tested some juicers, this is the

results they gave me. The Greenpower's new Solo Star rated the best for

juice, with Omega 8002, and Sampson ultra next in that order. I also

understand that the new Omega 4000 is good, now that it doesn't get hot. It

is centrifugal, and apparently the pulp is disposed outside the machine,

instead of being shot into a container. Omega has a 10 year warranty as does

Samson for the motor, and 5 for other parts, the Solo Star has a 5 year, and

champion has a 3 year warranty. Below you will see where I've found the

cheapest prices. I found them on E-bay. They had a listing under

www.rawguru.com, which is in the process of being reconstructed.

This is from Melinsky

My number is 1-866-Raw-Guru. The solostar is 189.99 plus free shipping and

all omega juicers are 229.99 plus free shipping. The neekak is 205.00 free

shipping. My rawguru.com site will be my personal site. The

www.rawfoodequipment.com site will be where I sell all the equipment. My

rawguru.com site will be done 7/7/04. The equipment site will be done next

month. Thanks for your patience.
