Guest guest
Barbara, I was about to write to let you know that 48-Hours will be airing their piece (partly about us and Farmers) on March 2nd. Just as I was writing you, I received your email. You're one step ahead of me! I think the piece will be VERY good for all victims.

These days - as widespread as the contamination has become I wouldn't doubt it for a moment. Barbara >> Barb & , I too have written to the President, The First Lady and Al Gore about several issues including sick buildings. What happened to one of my letters that I know of for sure is one of the Presidents Aids intercepted it and passed it on to someone else. He wrote me so proudly to tell me so! I wrote back and told him thanks for nothing! So I just wanted to let you know, our letters don't always make it to those we have addressed them to at the White House. There are so many people in the front lines screening mail, faxes and phones, we have no way of knowing where our letters are going. Guest guest
> Subject: Trying and still trying >Sometimes I don't even know the right questions to ask. Most people won't give you the right answers unless you do ask the right questions. So tell me when I haven't asked the right questions and I'll be happy to ask. Debe, I think Jen Snider, Angie, Sue, and myself, answered not only the questions that were asked but also those that needed to be asked and weren't. You just threw it back in our face and said you believed some guy on the phone that told you he was a chemist and gave you a bunch of information without anything to back it up. > So far when I've made lotion, I make small batches. I mean small, like 32 oz. at a time. If it costs $300 or more to have each batch tested, I CAN'T afford to do that. I told you that there is nothing in the FDA regs. that require you to have your lotion tested-it is recommended though. I also told you that if you used Germaben ll at the recommended rate of 1% and used reasonable precautions to keep your work area clean that your lotion should be o.k and that it would not be over preserved. Again, you chose to listen to some un-named source that told you it was vitally important to have your lotion tested if you used Germaben, but apparently not so if you used the debunked GSE. >One person graciously asked if I was going to refrigerate my lotions and sell them out of an ice chest. At first I was irritated but then decided that might not be a bad idea. Is it feasible? No it is not, because as was also pointed out to you, you are responsible for what your customer may introduce into your lotion after you sell it. Your liability does not go away after you sell your product. >Another person on the list explained what Germaben products do to be effective. Not sure I want that happening on my skin. The alternative is to have a lot worse happening on your skin, just because you can't see it doesn't mean those little critters are not working on you. >I'm really sorry if I offended anyone. I didn't mean to when I started this whole mess, although I knew it would start a ruckus. I don't now about the others, but you didn't offend me and I can't say that I noticed a ruckus. If there had been one, the list administrators would have closed the topic. What you did though was make me realize that I was spending far too much time trying to help people that really didn't want to be helped. So my conversation with you has been a blessing in disguise because out of it sprung a list where people come who are open to learning. >or I must have listened to the horses a**. That puts my defenses up and even though I know better, I respond in kind. This sounds similar to something I said, but it is NOT what I said, here is the actual quote; " Are you sure it wasn't the ass " s mouth that he/she got it from? " As you can see it was not aimed at you but one of your un-named sources that got something from the " horses mouth " . I was not referring to ass as in backside, but ass as in donkey. It was in relation to a bunch of unsubstantiated nonsense that this person told you. >And I have a higher source to answer to than on this list. It's what motivates me. If you are talking about what I think you are, then not only do you have a responsibility to put out a safe product, but a duty. > And when I screw up, I'm accountable and try to make amends. But I still want to know the answers to my questions. And I guess I'm not willing to settle for synthetic preservatives as the only solution. Then unfortunately, the people that understand effective lotion preservation on this list can't help you. You will get plenty of people that will tell you what you want to hear and tell you that this or that natural preservative works, and they may even be willing to sell it to you. I don't sell any ingredients at this time, so I have nothing to gain. Before you spend your money ask them to produce the challenge tests. Pat. Guest guest
Hi I have been reading the posts for a few months now and just thought this would be a good time to respond to one. We have been using N.A.C.D. with our daughter for 4 yrs. and she is doing very well. What we have seen the most growth in is her speech. Lindsey is 14 and had encephalitis with chicken pox when she was 2. She has gone from speaking in 1 word phrases to speaking in full sentences. So we are very pleased with her progress Ginger gpsnap@...

Guest guest
, I would love to have an Olympia night. Would Tuesday or Thursday work for people? Wednesday is fine with me, too right now. As far as a place to hold it, I suppose the Westfield (Capital) Mall would be an easy place to get started, although I would hope that if we can get a few people together that we could find a friendlier place. I actually have an easy house to find, right off the freeway on Black Lake and wouldn't mind holding it here for lack of a more mutually agreeable place. I just think people are more comfortable coming to a public place until they get to know each other, you think? Any ideas from anyone? Guest guest
For anybody into the mind-body-spirit healing approach, I just returned from a two week stay at the Optimum Health Institute in Lemon Grove (near San Diego), California. (There is also one in Austin, Texas, and there are quite a few places in other parts of the country with similar programs ... upstate New York, Santa Fe, Michigan, Florida, Puerto Rico). It was a nice place to focus on my healing and take respite from the rest of my life. I got a stress related disbility leave from my doctor. A good friend came along the first week to keep me company. Their website is www.optimumhealth.org . It is relatively cheap (I shared a townhouse for less than $700.00 per week, which is all inclusive ... food, classes on aspects of healing, and simple yoga and exercise classes). The biggest bonus was 200 wonderful people who form a nice healing field and become a great opportunity for networking and comraderie. It's a very simple environment (some of the others are fancier and offer more services). And there are testimonials from folks who have experienced cures and disappearance of tumors (a minister was there my second week who claims his rare lymphoma was no longer detectable after his first stay), and I have no idea whether these stories are true or not (I certainly didn't see any formal documentaion to validate any of these claims), but regardless I think it is an excellent place to go for support and respite and most definitely to detox after having any of the toxic chemical treatments that many of us have to subject our bodies to. I met a woman who went after she'd had chemo and radiation for breast CA and she now returns twice a year for a three week stay (has been doing so for 10 years). I had CTscans and blood work before and after (six months before, and two weeks after) ... My initial diagnosis was stage 0-1 SLL october 2004 ... and for me all is still the same (bloodwork was normal and continues to be so) and some slightly enlarged nodes in abdomen and arm pits. So I can't make some dramatic claim that my enlarged nodes all went away after two weeks of raw food and wheaatgrass juice, but it was so restorative to my being I would highly recomend it to anyone and it most definitely can't do any harm. If there was a way i could swing it, I'd go for several months. Somebody asked about diet recommendations ... there are many ... macrobiotic, raw food, chinese medicine herbs and diet recommendations. Most consistent recommendation is to eat protein and vegetables (organic meats and eggs and organic vegetables when possible), get your Omega 3s and eat cultured or fermented foods like yogurts/kefirs or sauerkrauts or kombucha or something with LIVE cultures. THE MOST CONSISTENT RECOMMENDATION IS TO AVOID SUGAR. Cancer cells seem to like sugar (all kinds including fruit, blueberries seem to be the exception). I'd like to recommend a few books .... -How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Dr. f Murray -Cancer As A Turning Point by Lawrence LeShan, Ph.D. -Your Body's Many Cries for Water by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D. -The SchwarzbeinPrinciple II by Schwarbein, M.D. -The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates And there is so many schools of thought and recommendations (eat lots of tumeric, green tea, chlorella, CoQ10) and on and on. It could drive you insane and to the poor house. But you can't go wrong with a diet that consists of mostly (at least 75%) cooked and raw vegetables, with some protein and good fats from fish, grass fed meats, organic eggs. The rest is mostly full of sugar, or breaks down quickly to sugar (all the starches and grains, and of course sugar itself and dairy has a lot of lactose) which isn't doing the cancer or your blood sugar and hormones much good. Anyway, nobody ever wants to hear this because the implications of changing one's diet seem to be too overwhelming for most people and somehow hit a cultural button (why are people so attached to macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and cookies and cakes and coffee and whatever?). All this genetic modification of organisms, etc and food in boxes ... this is fairly recent stuff (white rice or white flour didn't exist for our ancestors, let alone, foods invented in laboratories). We all know that simple is best, and suspect that all this adulteration has contributed to the cancer in our bodies (water supply? industrial waste? all these waves flying aorund .. microwaves and broadcast waves and nuclear emissions). It's so much easier to pretend that it doesn't matter. It opens a big can of worms, doesn't it? Protein and vegetables. You can't really argue with that recommendation. Good luck to all. Guest guest
Please post: Religious EXEMPTION-- Well, it's time for my son's MMR booster before he goes to kindergarten. I separated the mumps and rubella, after making sure both vaccines were mercury=free by demanding to view the packet information from the drug co. enclosed with the vial and demanding a one-dose vial. However, I do not want to give him the measles, live virus, shot, for obvious reasons. My pediatrician is still in the dark about the connection, and he reported that no one had ever asked to see the ingredients of the shots!! I was shocked parents can still be so ignorant about vaccine presesrvatives! My state only offers a religious exemption to children who do not immunise -- has anyone done this, and what do I need to do? Guest guest
Laurie, You know I was just thinking about that the other night. Did you see on the news how the supreme court ruled on things like the ten commandments Etc in state buildings Blah, Blau Blau. They upheld the sparation of church and state. Guest guest
Look up the web-site called Think Twice. They have information on each state's vaccination laws so that you can make your own decisions on how to approach your school system on vaccination issues. > >> A friend of mine raised $10,000 last year for NAAR. Guest guest
You can have his blood checked for measles titre level - most kids are high enough after first vaccine (and most spectrum kids are very high). If his titres say he is immune, this can be used instead of the vaccine. Interestingly, here in VA, they test titres for measles only - not mumps or rubella - and a high measles titre is enough to get you a vaccine waiver. We did this with my NT son - when I fill out health forms with vaccination lists for school or camp, I just write in the date and the word " titre " - no one has ever questioned me since they don't know what the heck it means. > >> A friend of mine raised $10,000 last year for NAAR.
