Hey Diane..I have been resting since yesterday..I plan on it today too.. King movies have been playing all weekend and I love his movies so I'm couch bound again today.LOL.It may have taken Syephen King to keep me on the couch but hey it's working.....Terry it's race day!!! Who won the Bush race yesterday or did you watch it?? I don't watch that one too much but I"ll be channel surfing today to see parts of Winston Cup!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend..Mine will be quiet!!!

Jan,

You better rest for a few days. You will get scar tissue and that

isn't fun!!!!! Get on the couch or in the bed...... Terry and .. It

rained again last night. We had a bad thunderstorm. Lightning and the

whole nine yards!!!! It just comes down so fast that I wonder if it has

a chance to soak in the ground. The brown stuff is still there.... Not

quite as brown tho'.. Sharon!!!! How are you doing with all the

kids?????? I have my 12 yr. old Grandson with me... Had to get him a

haircut yesterday... He looked like a hair hog!!! Now he looks much

better..... Hello to everyone else and hope you all have a super

Good morning everyone. Diane it is still bone dry here. The somer rain's still haven't come. Parts of the Phoenix metro area had one good rain. But it missed our house. Jan this was a night race weekend so the Bush car's race'd Friday night & the the Cup drivers race'd last night. Jeff won his first race of the year.

The step-kids are at their mom's this weekend. So I

only have one here today. Everytime she opens her

mouth it's either " I don't want to argue with you,

but... " or " I hate you " . Thank goodness I'm not

stressed today, so she doesn't really bother me. I

just laugh it off.

Greg was up all night with a stomach bug so I'm

nursing him today. Luckily, although he thinks no one

has ever been this sick, he's a good patient. Not very

demanding and like's to be left alone.

It's REALLY hot and humid outside, so I'm staying in

and cooking chicken noodle soup. Greg's asleep,

's not speaking to me so I guess I'll get my

book and just rest.

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Dale Jr. needed up 3ed, Rusty Wallace was 2nd close behind Jeff Gordon. Susy was rooting for Rusty & I was rooting for Jeff. Dale & Jeff between them led most of the race.

Don't ya just love it when they don't speak..... Trouble is it just

doesn't last too long.... LOL............ My Grandson talks my head

off.... Soon as he gets up til he goes to bed... I asked him if he gets

a sore throat and he said no why???? I said cause you never give it a

rest... After a minute it sank in and he said... " GrandMom " he he he

... I know I'm bad..... Couldn't resist tho'... Jan I noticed the

King movies. I am glad you are on the couch.. Makes the time go by

quicker when you are interested in a movie. ;o Where is and -dz-?

Diane, I thank there's 9 more Winston Cup race's this year. I am planing on watching the movie on RFK also. 1968 was the first year that I paid attenson to the canadets. I still remember where I was & what I was doing when I first heard the news that he had been killed & what I was doing when I heard the news about JFK. I guess that shows my age. Maybe Susy's right when she call's me Old Man.

Diane our son is by his chose "he is living up by Dz & it seems he forgot our phone number unless him & his wife wants something" our daughter is our chose "she has sticky fingers" but she calls daily & we take her out to eat about once a month. We just can't trust her she has stoolen so much from us "things that had been in our family's for years back to my Great grandmother & Susy's grandparents". She has given away or sold everything she has stoolen". We both love but don't like. I hope we don't sound like bad parents, I don't know a better way to say it. Like I said we both love her, just can't trust her in our house. The only time's we have her to the house is Thanksgiving, Christmas & when Susy's sister is out here.

don't remember about RFK..... I was in 10th grade and they announced it

over the load speaker... They also sent us home from school.... I guess

that one makes me the old Lady!!!!!! LOL....

I never really left. I just didn't have access to the group.... I see

there are a lot of newcomers that I do not know!!!

Jan.... Now I remember what I was doing when RFK was killed.... I was

changing diapers.. Was 19 yrs. old with 2 babies.... Oh yes I remember

it well... I hope you are resting Jan.... You have really been tru the

hear that you and hubby are getting on so well... Mine is back here too

but things just aren't the same. Once someone does so much to you they

make your feelings shut down. I will not let him upset me again..... If

it does happen again I will just have to move on alone.... Ya know

what.... It may be the best thing I ever did for myself... He can have

his toys. I will never go near them again.... Material things come and

go but I know what the love and respect of friends and family are and he

has none of that. I am blessed with people that I can turn to and it is

so sad that he has not one person to go to..Maybe he can form a

relationship with his golf carts and boats!!! LOL... It is sad!! I am

the lucky one here and I never forgot where I came.....

Diane I was in the 5h grade when JFK was killed, we were having a birthday party. The school was an old school building. They used 5th & 6th graders to run messages. We had one that said he was shot & one later that said he died. I was just going into high school when RFK was killed. I had just woke up & my Mom had the news on, that was all they were talking about.

Jan you started having kids when you were still one yourself. I was 24 when I married Susy & got . Seven monthes later "I was 25" we had . But at the age of 20 a month before 21, Susy had, had 2 kidds & 2 misscages.so she was young also & very firtal. We took care of that when was born.

Hey there Terry!!!!! Looks like I got 5 years on ya......... ;o Isn't it

funny how we can remember things and where we were and what we were

doing on certain things? Then other times we haven't got a clue!!!! I

also know that I didn't remember about RFK because I didn't have a tv or

radio back then......BTW. I forgot to watch it.... Am I a trip or what?

I love for the kids of today to see what ruffin it really was like.....

I used to scrub diapers and clothes on a washboard... Had bloody

knuckles many times..... When I got a used washing machine with a ringer

I thought I was the luckiest person on earth... Then when I went to work

and got a used automatic I really thought I was in heaven. You see when

I was growing up I took these things for granted. We always had them so

I thought it was part of life.... Boy was I wrong... I have always been

a very independant person and I found a way to make it without help....

My Mother instilled in me that you pay your bills before you do

anything... You always have to have a roof over your head..My Mother

also tld me... " You made your bed and now you lie in it " I do not quite

agree with that one because sometimes we do need help.

I remembered those teaching when I was young and used them then and I

still do... That is why material things do not mean the world to

me....... They are nice to have, but if you put them 1st, you really

have nothing.... Come on everyone.... I know you have some good tales

to tell too... We can have a walk down memory lane day!!!!! ;o

Sharon after the boot thing I know you can come up with a few good
