Hello Marci! Welcome to the group! I live in PA, near Philly. I have

3 kids, the youngest, Ava (who just turned 1!) has a right club

foot. I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Dobbs, so I think

you can rest assured your daughter is in good hands! I hope you

enjoy the group!

Actually, Dr. Moseman had told me he wanted to send Mollie to the Shriners

because " she needs surgery " so that is what I was expecting (glad he was wrong).

Where it gets even worse is that he told me that he trained at the Shriners

hospitals (so I thought he knew what he was talking about) AND he said he

recommeds Lexington over St Louis because ( I quote word for word here) " The

main DR at St Louis is arrogant and condecending and talks down to everyone.

He's not that superior of a surgoen to have that attitude " It just turns out

that my local Shriner chapter sent my application to St louis because

unfortunaly I just assumed he knew what he was talking about.

I am not 100% sure. His name is Dr. Ken Noonan, and I thought he was listed on

Dr. Ponseti's site, but if not let me know, and I will see if I can locate him

for you.

May I ask where the doctor moved to in Wisconsin?? I'd be interested in

knowing. :)

Marci,

Welcome! I'm so glad you found Dr. Dobbs. He is great! My son has been

seeing him for four years now. He just finished with his shoes. Where

are you from in Indiana? I live about an hour south of ville in

western Ky.

Actually, I'm in Solsberry, but yes Dr Kent Moseman in Bloomington is who I went

to. I really think he was a nice guy and have heard lots of great things about

him, as far as broken bones and such. He just really seemed like he didn't

haven't much experience with babies at all. Mollie would cry and kick and

scream the whole time he was casting her and he kinda acted like he didn't know

how to handle it.

Are you in Bloomington? Dr. Moseman is a wonderful doctor, but I am sure he

doesn't get many clubfoot kids. I think he usually gets athletic injuries if it

is the same guy. I grew up in Bedford and know him and Dr. Fox. I went to

Moseman when I was younger for one of my knees. Just wondered if it was the

same guy. You are very lucky in the Dr. you were sent to. Good luck with

everything!

Re: Re: new member

Marci,

Yeah! I'm so glad your doctor referred you to Shriners and that you

found Dr. Dobbs - he is truly one of the best. Mollie is in excellent

Let us know if you need any advice or have any specific questions. I

am also pleasantly surprised that your original ortho admitted he

wasn't having any luck and recommended you to someone more experienced

-- this is great, one step closer to converting doctors to doing the

right thing! Best of luck.

Pam,

I live in Solsberry, a little town near Bloomington. Our trip to St Louis is

about 4 to 41/2 hours but that is with several stops because Mollie gets

frustrated in her carseat and cries to get out and be fed.
