Nice. Perhaps he just doesn't get on with this doc? I kind of assume it's

Dr. Dobbs he's referring to but maybe it's another doc there? Or perhaps

if he feels Mollie needs surgery at this point he hasn't really *got* the

Ponseti Method and whoever is talking down to him there is really trying to

prove a point about the Method? Who knows... but by all accounts from

parents... Dr. Dobbs is one of the best of the best and really cares for

these babies. If this is referring to Dr. Dobbs, it really doesn't matter

how he deals with other surgeons... what matters is his ability to treat

your child's feet.

Kori,

Thanks! I just told (he's sitting at the other computer

playing a game.) And he said " 'kay " . I can't believe it's

actually " over " . But then again, is it really ever over?! I'll

always worry. He woke up in the middle of the night last night

complaining of his foot hurting and it seemed to be bothering him

pretty bad. This morning he says it is still hurting some, but he

isn't limping or anything. He says it's hurting on the inside and

it's kind of in his arch area. Maybe it will pass.

Could be, but there are several other doctors there, possibly it's

one of them. But anyway, at least you ended up there with Dr. Dobbs!

Could be, but there are several other doctors there, possibly it's

one of them. But anyway, at least you ended up there with Dr. Dobbs!

Marci-

It's really a blessing that you ended up with Dobbs. Other doctors

at the same hospital are treating clubfoot using other methods

or " modified Ponseti " . In Lexington, there is one doctor who was

reported to be using the method, Dr. Talwalkar, but he's not on Dr.

P's list. The other docs at that Shriners are not using Ponseti

either.

You're lucky to have gotten in with Dobbs without even having to

request him specifically! I'm happy for you and your daughter- and

glad you're here too! :) Mollie's story is very similar to what we

went through with our daughter, , too- 5 years ago. :)

Marci,

Well, I take it all back -- apparently I was giving him too much

credit. I just can't believe the arrogance of some doctors. To say

that Dr. Dobbs is the arrogant one is laughable! But I guess the good

news is that someone was watching out for Mollie and got you to the

right place and the right doctor.
