Yahhooo! Isn't this surgery a wonder!!!>>>>

You bet it is, Dawn! Remember my concern that you got into size 10 at 165

and I couldnt do it? Well, now I can get into size 12 shorts with elastic

waist! Im not far behind the 10 now and Im 162! Maybe when I hit 155 I

will get into the 10? Ill get there!!

Hugs, Judie

Kimber,

I was so relieved to hear the good news. From as much as I know you, I can

imagine that you work very hard to maintain meticulous records, dotting those

I's and crossing those T's. I was thinking about that the other day, about

what an incredible asset you have been to your previous employers and how

hard that much have been to not be able to maintain that level of

performance. I wanted you to know that I am looking forward to the future

when you will have had time to work past the disability, adjust to your new

lifestyle, etc. You have so much to offer and it will be fun to get together

on some projects or something. I find your hobbies interesting, too.

It's so great to hear good news. I'm sure you're delighted to be

able to get your prednisone dosage decreased. My dear SIL has

lupus, and was going through that same battle as you are last

year. Her weight was up to 280, she'd developed the moon face

against her skin. For several months she was miserable, but

she kept fighting, and was eventually able to get her dosage

reduced, her weight declined and back into much better health.

She, like you, has all kinds of autoimmune problems and has, in

She is doing wonderfully now and so much happier. I'm hoping

that you have the same kind of progress that she has had.

Please keep us up to date on how you're doing.

> hi judith

isn't it funny how when our kids who don't eat ask for some sort of

food out of the blue that we run no matter where to or what time it

is to get it for them. :)

avery has always been tube feed due to his reflux, never even

wanting to try anything ask me for milk the other day. i could not

have gotten it fast enough. he took two drinks and was done. we were

so happy. on the other hand my ii 1/2 yr old ask for ice cream at 9pm

on a school night, i say are you crazy, you got to get to bed. avery

ask and i on it. hahahaha

lucky for me our older kids understand and laugh it off.

what a great feeling huh?

Hi Jodie...that's great! Unfortunately Imogen who is 6 is fine in the day but

has to have a nappy at night. Are we the only ones with an older RSS child with

this problem?

No - Tim does at 8. He seemed almost ready to toatally potty train at

night just before he turned 7, but then he got a tube with night

feedings... He had started stooling at night with the big calorie levels

that cause him to over double his weight in a year and a half (with the

GH), but now that he's gone from less than the 1st % weight-to-height to

somewhere between the 50% and 75%, we are cutting back and he is not

stooling much. Perhaps if we can drop the bedtime feeds at some point,

that will do the trick...

Hi Inga.......well we managed to free Imogen of the tube when she was 3 and a

half...so she eats normally...or as normally as any RSS kid does! It could be

the lack of muscle tone that some RSS kids have that does it? Or maybe she just

can't be bothered to get up in the night!!! Who knows!!!!

Maybe a small bladder? Tim's is no longer so small, but we give him 2 cans

of food over the first 2 hours he sleeps...

Thanks for that Jodie.......I don't think the huggies would make much difference

cos she wees in her sleep.....I'm sure it's one of those things that gets better

as she gets older.....there can;t be anything seriously wrong because she can

control her bladder during the day.....

At least because of her size the nappies we buy are the cheaper

ones....Midi...up to 20lbs!

Happy New Year
