Oh rats! I will have to wait even longer to get to meet you. Well I am

glad you have been to clinic and have that out of the way. That means you

will be able to stay busy this week without sitting there and concentrating

on this. I need to find something to do when I get to Durham. My Tuesday

will be pretty much taken care of with clinic. I don't know what I will

find to get into on Wednesday and Thursday. I am sure my daughter will find

something for us to do. As long as their is a mall around I'm sure I will

be busy. Well, see you Friday. Have a good week.

I haven't heard anything from Our Special Angel since

Thursday evening and like you said she was to hear something Friday.

I e-mailed her, but have not gotten a response from her as yet.

I hope the procedure was approved!

I am praying for her!

I'm so sorry about the delay in your surgery. I know how it feels. But in the

long run you will be glad that Dr. R made you wait. I will spank Trish for

you, as we all know it was her fault! LOL

18.5 lbs lost as of 6/7

would weight myself everyday and I know that would just drive me crazy. I

never thought I would see this day. Only 10 more to go before I will be

under 200. I went a couple of weeks ago to have some blood work done and to

make sure I was doing well, all of my blood work came back normal.

Cholesterol was 119, I could hardly believe it. The Dr. said I was doing

great.

I have been working in my yard all day with just a little help from my oldest

son, he mowed the grass, other than that I have done all the trimming,

blowing, raking, pulling weeds and edging. I have never had as much energy

as I have had since the surgery.

My other sister came by to visit for a while and she could not believe the

amount of weight I have lost. She just kept saying, you look so good Chris.

I just smiled each and every time she gave me a compliment.

I went to a party last night, where I have not seen people in over six months

or better. I had a good friend walk up behind me and said, where is the rest

of you!! I did not even recognize you, I just died laughing and told her it

is gone forever, although she knew I was having the surgery done, because she

was the one who helped me get my paper work straight with my insurance

company, We both worked for the same HMO. , knows who I am talking

about. Our good friend Clara, I told her how well you were doing and how much

weight you have lost in the last six months, she could hardly believe it.

I am doing the happy dance, just 10 more pounds gang and I will be under 200.

It has been 12 years since I have been there. Thanks for letting me ramble

on like this but I wanted to tell the group and the whole world.

Hi ,

I think we all consider life one big diet. Through the years I have learned

that when you don't consume enough calories the body thinks it is time of

famine. Our bodies try to convert every calorie into fat. I, too, am guilty

of watching calories and I need to learn to listen to what my body is craving

for. My weight loss has been slow too. Don't we all wish we could go to bed

and wake up 100 lbs. lighter? Try to eat more so the body recognizes that it

actually is getting nutrients. I've written Dr. R with concerns and when you

really sit down and think about it he is right about not worrying about this.

The surgery will do it's job. It is up to us to make sure our bodies get

the fuel it needs to function effectively. Years ago I suffered from

anorexia/bulemia. It was an awful existence. All I thought about was

food-morning-noon-and night. We have a new lifestyle that we need to get

adjusted to. A lifestyle where we no longer are slaves to our scales, where

we eat when hungry and stop when full. , things will be fine. And

don't get on that scale everyday. Don't judge yourself by those numbers.

Sorry for rambling on.
