AT THE RISK OF BEING CRITICIZED I AGREE WITH BETTE ON THIS SUBJECT.

I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN FOR A WEEK AND BEHIND IN READING EMAILS....

I DO NOT WANT WAR...

HOW IN THE WORLD IS DUCT TAPE GONG TO SAVE US IF THEY BOMB US OR RELEASE CHEMICALS?? I USE DUCT TAPE FOR A LOT OF THINGS BUT THIS IS ONE THING IT WILL NOT HELP WITH. AND EVEN IF IT DID WHAT IS LEFT ONCE WE CAN COME OUT OF OUR "SAFE" ROOM?

WE ARE BLESSED IN AMERICA WE HAVE FREEDOM TO WORSHIP WHO ,WHAT ,WHERE AND WHEN WE WANT. WE CAN CHOOSE OUR OPINION WITHOUT BEING THROWN IN PRISON OR KILLED I LOVE AMERICA AND WOULD NOT CHOOSE TO LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE. I AGREE SADAM IS EVIL AND SHOULD BE DONE AWAY WITH BUT DOESN'T IT SAY SOMETHING WHEN MOST COUNTRIES ARE AGAINST WAR?

I CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT OF ALL THE YOUNG AMERICANS WHO WILL LOOSES THEIR LIVES IF WE GO TO WAR

THE OLD GRANDMA ON THE CREW,

CATHERINE

Re: terror

You knoweven if nothing happens, Osama has really achieved his aim--we have lost ourfreedom. marieWelllll...think about President Bush. At first he absolutely FORBID the media to broadcast anything which may have been Osama on tape because "Osama is a bad guy and he will be sending secret signals to all the terrorists to initiate another hit." Did you notice that now Bush is USING the most recent tape to benefit his own not so hidden agenda...his WAR??? He says that Osama is dangerous and to pay attention to this tape. What if he is "sending secret signals" to unleash more terrorism?Sorry, , but you can't have it both ways! What is sitting in the White House is as scary to me as Osama. He wont be content until we have a HUGE, horrible war. I want no part of it.Bette Mentz-The Dragons are Coming

K, I was gone all weekend so my response is lat but OH WELL!!! :)

I can't believe you would actually compare Bush to Hitler. I simply feel he is doing what he believes is best for the country. Hitler commited racial genocide, among other things. Bush supports disarming a country which supports terrorists. What would you do if it was your decision? Allow a person like Hussein to have access to nuclear weapons?

When 9-11 happened and our president stated that anyone who had anything to do with this was going down, everyone supported him. So what happened? And you say we're attacking unprovoked? Should we just wait for Pearl Harbor to happen allover again? If the man is such an idiot how was he elected President of the United States? I'm sure it was by doing more than "buying a diploma."

Olivia, dear, NOTHING happened when the president said someone was going down. Osama is alive and well.

Yes, unfortunately, he is alive and well, which is why we are trying other tactics to stop terrorists. The man is a coward in hiding, so you're saying since we can't find him, we should give up all other efforts?

You (And Mr. Bush) incorrectly frame your question as if war were the only way

to complete the disarmament of Saddam. UN sanctioned inspections - a world body

taking care of a threat to the world - are working.

I have heard nobody propose that we " allow Hussein to have nuclear weapons " .

We do question why Mr. Bush is so fixated on war and taking over Iraq when it is

clearly not the only option.

I'll offer a tidbit of information on politics, although normally I don't.

Being a tax accountant for over 30 years, I can tell you that according to Income Tax Returns, when a Democrat is office, the economy in general, according to the tax returns, is much better. Sr. pulled a real sneak attack on taxpayers when he was in office by lowering the amount taken out of everyone's paychecks weekly or whenever. However, the tax rate itself was not lowered. He wanted to get more money out in spending to help the economy. However, at tax filing time, when people were expecting their normally expected amount of refund, many owed money or the refunds were much lower. Sr. didn't lower the tax, just the amount withheld from our paychecks, then we had to make up the difference at Income Tax Filing Time. Most people actually thought they were getting a tax decrease, but instead had to pay back the lessor amount taken out during the year. Probably only tax preparers and tax accountants were actually aware of what was happening during the year. I think sometimes Politicians take us for fools, which sometimes we are when voting, based on promises that are theoritically impossible to keep.

I was appalled at Jr.'s state of the union address a few weeks ago when he talked about all the billions and trillions of dollars being spent for this and that. WHERE IS THIS MONEY COMING FROM? Guess! We have no say-so in how our money is spent, but just keep paying and paying, more and more.

Please know that I vote for the person I feel would do the best for our country, whether it be Democrat or Republican, but when doing income tax returns, I seriously consider voting Democrat in a Presidential Voting Year.

THANKS FOR POSTING THIS DELORIS.

I AM NOT INTO TAXES BUT I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THE ECONOMY WAS BETTER WHEN A DEMOCRAT WAS IN OFFICE. I TOO VOTE FOR WHO I THINK WILL BE BEST AND THE PARTY DOES NOT INFLUENCE MY VOTE

I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAID.

The UN has requested numerous times that Saddam Hussein disarm and NOTHING has

happened. If he had no intention to use the weapons he would have no reason to

keep them. His anti-American sentiments are public knowledge, attacking Iraq is

simply protecting ourselves from an imminent attack.

The UN inspections are working? Saddam

refuses to destroy the missiles that are ordered to be destroyed by the

UN. They still haven’t found any of the stuff that was not

accounted for. How are they working?

Wait, missiles were found and destroyed? Yes, although we know Iraq had about 2000 of these missiles they only offered up 16, so as President Bush said, where are the other 1,984 missiles? (my numbers may be off but you get the point)
