Hey Donna...maybe you could ask is she would loan you a few

sets of her pasties. She's got so many, i'm sure she'd share. That

might spice it up a bit. :)

No I havent been able to reach him...I called yesterday to get an

appt to increase my pain meds and she told me there were no avail

appts and to call during morning hours and there might be a

cancellation. Im not at the killing her point yet but Im getting

really close. When I do get an appt I will be telling him or the NP

about it!

To the best of my knowledge and mind you this is just a guess..maybe

the NP's couldnt prescribe the duragesic patches? I dont know to be

honest....I'm doing fairly well on the patches and I think that when

my Pain dr comes back he will keep me on it...it would kill me to

give them up for pain meds that make me ill.

Im sure that the weather here was as bad if not worse than some other

places but not as bad as Dawns....no matter now though its over and

doen with and today though its cold the sun is out...have a great day!

Hugs

Donna

I can't imagine having to trudge around in it much less doing doing

it while I was upset. So sorry that ou had to go through all of

that. At least you now have some pain coverage, albeit temporary,

until your pain doc returns. Why is it that they won't let you see

the NPs? Gees....especially given how you were feeling and the fact

that they hadn't called you to cancel the appt. My best to you -

Donna - Well, that certainly would make sense...but they could have at least let you know by phone rather than you're having to trek all the way in there. Pfffft. Re the white stuff, brace yourself. The news here is that at least the western part of our little state will be getting andother 4 - 8" starting late tonight or tomorrow morning.....and we're still trying to get the ice up that fell after we shoveled. You just can't win sometimes. BarbaraDonna wrote:

Donna - I'm glad that the patches have been working for you and I hope that the doc will sort out this whole mess for you when he returns, so you can continue to get benefit from them. Ridiculous to have you running around in this weather - not just because no one should have to trek out in it - but because the wet, cold weather can also turn the pain up a few notches. The patches are wonderful things though, I think. They're helping you, and I know they've been somewhat helpful for Barb, despite the side effects they're causing her. Was the only med that really gave me any level of genuine relief. I miss them **sigh** Well, hope you have a good weekend. :) Hugs, Tricia

Wellllll...she " said " she called my cell, which IF she did she called

the WRONG number because I have recent call logs and her # wasnt one

of them...however she DID call my employer but they dont have my cell

for good reason LOL....

As far as this crappy white stuff goes I almost fell on my arse when

I was taking my daughter to school this morning so I can hardly wait

to see what tomorrow brings...Ginny and I have OT at 7:30am

tomorrow...well Its midnight so I spose I should head off to bed

soon..Have a great weekend and be careful if you are planning to

shovel!

Hi Tricia

Yup the weather really did a number on me along with the stress and

the fact that I had an MRI on my back yesterday morning and had to

attempt lying on my back for over an hour...all of the abor really

SUCKED LOL!

But in the end it was worth it to have him give me a trial on the

patches..I have to say I feel better than I have in a long time..we

went out tonight with friends from out of state and I felt good which

is a switch from my mental and physical state since I cant remember

when....other than the itchiness around where the patch is I enjoy

its relief and Im pretty sure that the pain clinic dr will definetely

let me keep them..I will kiss his little puckered face when he

returns if that is the case! LOL

*Yawn* ok its time for sleep, have a great weekend!!

Donna - I went out to the store tonight to pick up a refill. Since we shoveled before the 2 inches of ice and sleet fell, the driveway is now solid ice. Ugh. With the additional snow coming tomorrow things should get interesting. It sounds like you all, if the storm heads your way after leaving here, won't get it til much later in the day. I think you and Ginny should be all set for your appts. in the morning. My best - BarbaraDonna wrote:

LOL. Im sure she would love that Barbara! I think we could probably

arrange another day out there, but not until it warms up and stops

with the threats of snow every other day! Im really getting tired of

this crud. Give me just one more 50 degree day and I might be happy

for the time being LOL...its a regular heatwave here today at 18

degrees!

I have to go out in about 45 minutes and I REALLY REALLY dont want

to..but school mut go on LOL.

Really bitter here and snowing too. I managed to put off stepping

outside today, but I have to go out tomorrow. From what I've heard,

it will be no better. Ugh. Stay warm and take care. Barbara

Agreed. I think that's time for this bitter cold and snow to head some place else. I did my part though. After spending and hour and a half standing outside blowing it eastward. While I realize that means that it will be heading your way, I promise that it won't last long and I though that if I blew it in any other direction than the ocean that it would just boomerang on back at me. Just take a second today, if you will, and do a couple of more huffs and puffs and it should be gone lickety split. Have a nice one ! BarbaraDonna wrote:

awwwwwwwwww geeeeeeeee Thanks Barbara! At least it was light enough

to blow and not that nasty wet stuff that we all to often have! Seems

though that you blew it pretty far considering Washington seems to

have gotten much of what we are enjoying :)

Have a great day!

Im sorry that you may have felt my post to be insinuating that you

wallow in depression, it wasnt my intention at all and I apologize.

It was a post that was meant only to say that while everyone here

has a multitude of health issues going on that after so much has

been handed to us there has to be a chance in hell that there is

something good out there. That not everything everyday has a

downside. I'm sorry again if you took what I said as anything more

than a note of some encouragement, it wasnt meant to be and I'm

sorry as well that so much has been handed to you in the means of

pain and misery..your courage and your determination make you an

incredibly strong person.

Cathy...I am sorry that you felt that Donna was insinuating that you wallow in depression. We all know you have alot on your plate and more than your share of pain and diseases to deal with...more than anyone in one life time should have to deal with in fact. You have survived cancer once before and you are obviously a strong person. You have also been so supportive of others no matter how bad things are going for you...I wish I had your strength lately. I can't seem to be supportive when I am in such bad shape right now. You even have the strength to volunteer and give your time to help others which is such a gift to the seniors you are helping. Chemo must take an awful lot out of you also...never mind not being able to tolerate pain meds to help give you some relief. I agree you have every reason to feel down...but I also see you are living life and not giving up. I know sometimes it's hard not to be angry with the

circumstances and hardships life hands us...but don't let the anger consume you or you won't be able to enjoy what is good in your life. I hope you know that we all value you and your support and friendship. I wish the drs could be more compassionate to your needs and treat you more like a person then just another patient. That must be very hard to deal with on top of everything else since you are entrusting these drs to make you well and make you feel comfortable. Keeping yourself going though all this shows everyone what an independent, strong, stubborn woman..but even the strongest people need someone to lean on when things get overwhelming....hopefully you know that you have all of us to lean on when you need us..and you can always write me privately if you want to vent or talk privately...Hope you better days and better weather....Hugs..Ginnyfishthatsmiles@... wrote: i read your letter and yo need to know some things. i do not just sitand waddle in depresion. i am working with seniors in my building. igo all day long. i am on cancer treatments and i may have 2 morecancers. i can take no pain meds. so go through chemo, rsd and a hostof other medical problems and i have a right to be down. i work hardand try to help but i am sooooooooo tired of fightig all this mess. drs.they suck. they tell me to deal with it. just went to gyn doctor witha sever problem. he put me through more pain than i ever want to gothrough. he wants a pelvic sonagram. i said never again. i have asevere infection through out body. he said that my blood work wasnormal yeah right. kidneys are going down again. so be cherry do
