I don't remember who told me this but someone said it takes something

like three years. Nice.

Funny, I feel the same way! After losing 160 lbs, I was arguing with

a friend of mine who is very slim, I was telling her that she is way

smaller than me and she kept saying no I was smaller than her and

then we started talking sizes and I am completly floored that I am 2

sizes smaller than her. I swear I do not see it. I will see people

who have known me for years, and they pass me by and don't recognize

me. It is crazy!!! I don't know if I will ever get used to it. My

own Dad said he would have passed me and not known it was me!!! Take

Care, in CA

You all might remember my having tried on my co-worker's leather coat

and it fitting well freaking him out. Well if you really paid

attention to that story you'd have read that there was a second co-

worker who had just purchased a black leather coat and was sort of

joining in on the conversation.

Well this past Friday, on a lark, I slid my chair across the 3 foot

wide hall and into his cube. I stood up and announced, " Hey let's see

how much heft this has. " He started talking about how it was heavy to

get used to. I agreed as I put it on and zipped it up. I said, " Hmm

it's a bit tight , I'm not sure I could sit down with it as my

pooch/stomach might push it out a bit. But, you do know what this

means don't you ? " He looks confused, " Uh no. " I say, " You're

getting fat buddy! "

I think I just stand a little straighter because I have more confidence

now. :-)

I am very pleased w/ how well it's going thus far! :-) Everyone always

asks me how much more I want to lose and I tell them whatever...if I

never lost another lb I'd be happy! But I'd be happier w/ 95 more lbs

gone. LOL

And yes, my dog is a camera ham! He's so photogenic. I'll have to put

some pics up on the board of him in my folder. He's too cute!

Hmmmm...interesting. I guess it will take a long time because we are so

used to having seen ourselves this way for years.

I have to add my Kudos to the other Donna's. The differance is awesome, and what

is wonderful is that you have this inner glow that seems to grow from month to

month. You have done wonderfully. I hope I do as well. I have pics myself, for

just before, at 1 month and at 3 months, but I haven't even looked at them

myself, much less sent them in. Maybe I am just going to have to bite the bullet

and do so. Thanks , for being such a good role model.

Yes! Send them in! :-)

I take pictures monthly so that I have a record of the changes. That's

really the only way I see the difference.

Mike T, not only do I see the same person in the mirror, but

sometimes I catch myself thinking like her...for example will I fit

in there? Is there enough room for me? Will I break the chair?

etc...

Thanks Kim. :-) It's amazing to me to stop & think how much I've

lost. 125 lbs. That's my mom + 9 lbs! LOL!

They are roomy, but everytime I walk into a resturant, I still scope the room

and tell myself I have to sit in a booth.

I sat in a booth the other day for the first time in I could not tell you

when and I actually fit. I used to cringe at going into certain restaurants

and having to sit in a booth.

HI ,

Funny, I have been experiencing the same things and I still have another

75-80 lbs to go yet. Most of which I pray to have off by August. Even half of

that would be nice. Anyways, I cant wait to see the look on my fathers face when

I see him face to face for the first time. I want pictures of that LOL! This

year is going to be even bigger then last. I am so excited.
