Guest guest
Sorry if I excited everyone unduly! I think the designation of " Orphan Drug " status is so that Tichcon can begin clinical trials of CoQ10. Then if they are successful, Tischon can apply for approval for prescription drug status. I think that is how it works. From what I understand, that means at this point in time, CoQ10 is still not prescription. Dog gone it! I earlier wrote: Everyone, please check this out from then home page of Tishcon’s website, www.tishcon.com, · Tishcon obtains Orphan Drug Designation for Coenzyme Q10 from the US FDA. The designation is for the use of CoQ10 in the treatment of Mitochondrial Cytopathies. This could be a happy day! I know many of us will be contacting our pharmacies very soon! Cindy, mom to 2 boys, Seth, 12, and Ben, 7 (We use 2000 mg of CO Q 10 daily in our house!)
