Guest guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Hi Sharon, Sorry your week has been so busy. My mom has been thinking about a knee replacement, and I don't think she realizes the recovery involved, and that she'd probably have to go a rehab center for a while. Take care,
Guest guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I hurt my left knee in April at a clothing store...was looking at some shorts and started to get a pair of shorts and the rack fell to floor...I twisted my body to avoid being hit and got a slight torn ligament in my knee...it swelled and went to drs...went last week for 2nd check-up...have to be careful sometimes it tries to give out...if going out I wear a small rubber brace get at drug store...If I was younger he would recomment knee surgery...and if it gets worse or hurts alot maybe surgery...Dont have to go back to Drs. Betsy (NC) Note: forwarded message attached. Hi Sharon, Sorry your week has been so busy. Guest guest Report post Posted August 25, 2006 I don't know yet what I have or don't have. I've had 2 mammograms this month and going to see a Dr. to see if I need a biopsy or what. Is it true that bigger women's mammogram's can be harder to read? I didn't have an old baseline to go by. Well, couldn't find it. Vicki
Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2006 I suppose more area to cover BUT I am small breasted and a 2.4 cm. mass did not show up on mammogram, not even the digital cad enhanced type. However, it did show up, quite clearly, on ultrasound. Ruth > > I don't know yet what I have or don't have. I've had 2 mammograms this month and going to see a Dr. to see if I need a biopsy or what. Guest guest Report post Posted August 27, 2006 Vicki My doctor explained that I have 'dirty' breasts.......that's what they call them when they are dense and are hard to read with mammograms. Every time he mentioned my 'dirty' breasts he would start out by apologizing. Actually I have been thinking in terms of a mastectomy if I get any more cancer. Although the ultrasound picked up on it the same day as my mammogram. And I had my annual physical with my regular dr and he couldn't feel it. But I have started doing self exams since lumpectomy, chemo and rads. Janet A

Guest guest Report post Posted August 28, 2006 The surgeon will do a biopsy early Sept. on the calcification in the right breast. This seems better as the 1st mam. had things in both breasts.
