home in a little while (hopefully) and I need to talk with someone

intelllingently about the ins and outs of buying a first time home!!! Yes,

I'll be doing this all by my wee self ~ but we want a home soooooo ...

Bad New!

Hi Gang,

Just when you thought it was safe to log onto your computer and check your

mail, there is bad news - I'm back!! Carla got me on the other day so you

can send your complaints to her!

I'm glad to see that my in-box filled up rather quickly since coming back. I

've already seen a lot of names I remember and some new ones too that I have

now seen before. It's great to see the Crew flourish like this. I've seen

some note regarding OZ and Vegas so it's great to see Crewbies getting

together again!

I guess a lot has happen since I left around the summer of last year. You

may recall we bought a new house and I needed a bit of a break because I was

getting swapped with things to do. Well, our move-in date was supposed to be

Aug 10 but we did not move in till Nov 5. We had to vacate our old house on

Sept 28 so we were homeless for a while. We lived with my in-laws during

this time. It was not as bad as I thought it might be but we had no choice.

Actually, we did have a choice because the builder offered to let us stay in

one of his model homes till ours was ready. We decided to pass that up

though. Ironically, our old house was 35 years old and always required work.

Our new house was just built and requires just as much work! Can't win!!

On to better new.... the kids are growing up nicely. Francesco started grade

1 in September and loves his new school. Brittania will start Jr.

Kindergarten this coming September at the same school. My wife, , is

still taking sign classes is has become surprisingly good. We will enroll

Francesco in a " sign camp " this summer.

Today is Valentine's Day so..... Love you all,

Hi ,

Comfortably numb is quite a song as you know. I cut out the lyrics from the

album sleve and had them framed on a wall at our old house. I recall a lot

of the lyrics posts but perhaps I missed some.

I'm sure it will be great but no OZ for me (unless a cure for NF2 is found

in which case I have to go there and buy Bro a beer or two!). Orlando sounds

good! I have relatives in St. Pete and the kids loved Disneyworld when we

went a while back.

But alas, the biggest disadvantage of new home buying.... it leaves you

broke! We may have to stay in the backyard this year!

Thanks to everyone for saying I was missed. Such words would surely make my

wife think I wrote the messages myself. Anyway...

na - I will scan pic of the kids and send it to the Crew.

- Buying a new house is very, very tricky because all you have

initially is just a paper contract. We did some things wrong and some things

could have gone better. Overall, we are happy about the house. We did hear

some bad stories from the neighbours (one lady took the builder to court).

Let me know before you buy the house and I will jot down some tips for you.

I will take you up on that. We are definitely tired

of renting! Hopefully, we can be in a situation to

start looking in about 6-8 months....
