Re: QUESTIONHi all, Pardon my complete ignorance of the term "mosaic". What's that / what are symptoms? I am the only one in my family known to have NF2, but my mom has always had some problems like Migraine headaches, bouts of depression, and fibrous breast tumors that doctors told her to 'live with".Matt

What do you mean by this?

You just have to lay there and not move for the MRI. When I had a stroke

the right side of my body could not move at all. They had no problem

putting me in the MRI machine. Just had to help me more.

Marie,

I meant it would be approximately 4 hours long in the MRI machine maybe

longer they could take Mike out between times BUT its to much lifting for

them soooo he will have to lie there with his back hurting all that time...

and like it .....seems to me there should be a plastic hoya lift invented to

lift people in places like that lol they expected my husband & I to help me

hanging on my oxygen tank and Gene back there with that magnet and his Brest

bone wired tog ... smart huh? hugs Lois

I think Jennette had one. Its the same bracelet or necklace... you just have them engrave "I am deaf" or something like that on it.

I HAVE ONE I WEAR IT ALL THE TIME. IT IS FROM MEDIC ALERT. IT SAYS I AM DEAF, ALSO AN ABI RECIPIENT, AND THEN LISTS MY DRUG ALLERGIES AND A NUMBER TO CALL (MEDIC ALERT) TO GET THE REST OF THE INFORMATION - MORE DRUG ALLERGIES. BUT THE DEAF AND ABI ARE THE FIRST THINGS LISTED.

I GOT MY MEDIC ALERT APPLICATION AT MY PHARMACY.I THINK. I HAVE HAD MINE SINCE 1997. THEY JUST SENT ME A CARD (CREDIT CARD TYPE) IN THE MAIL FOR FURTHER IDENTIFICATION TO CARRY IN MY PURSE.

HERE IS THE NUMBER TO REQUEST ORDERS, UPDATE INFOR, ETC. IT IS TOLL FREE 24 HOURS A DAY - 1-.

I also wear the a medic alert bracelet. Mine says "neurofibromatosis 2 seizures LP shunt drug allergies and then my number" If medical people call that number they will be given a list of all my drug allergies, the medicine I am currently taken, and the fact that I have a plate in my head.

I ordered it on-line. I also received a plastic card to keep in my wallet. You pay a yearly fee for the service.

Blessings,

Yes I wear a Medical bracelet it has NF2 on it , Lupus (SLE) and some other stuff about my medication they couldn't fit deafness on there lol lol but the card in my purse has more details as well as the fact that I am deaf.
