It's good to see that I'm not the only one!! You're rather experienced and can't do it, so I feel good. Perhaps it is the large breasts that's the problem. Holden and I live in the football hold. It's rough at night because I can't do the " lie down " position too well either. About the LLLI.....I am really looking foward to getting involved in it. I would volunteer my services as a freelance graphic artist to make fliers as well as my time to drive all over posting info about the different leagues. I don't think enough people know enough about it ;-) Good luck on you becoming a leader! Is that a very hard thing to do? ~

Guest guest
Also the severe pain w.after birth contractions. They were enough to make ME almost switch to formula. I would cry and cry, I was in so much pain =(** But after those first couple weeks I was ok and we have now been breastfeeding 3 months!! Re: Breast vs. Formula , Does it matter? If it hurts and she doesn't like it and it's going to prevent her from feeding her baby...it doesn't matter WHY. It definitely does matter why. I have know a few bf women who almost stopped because of pain and were completely ready to switch to formula. They found out that the latch was wrong, fixed the problems and went on to have extensive bf relationships. If you are having pain that you don't think will ever go away you would stop doing what is causing you pain, but if you knew that you could continue painfree by doing it different it would give you hope. I was also on pitocin. Perhaps having a c-section makes a difference? However, I've heard that they are worse with baby #2. ~
Guest guest
My first was epi and pit and had no pains. My secodn was pit only not pain meds and my pains were killers Re: Breast vs. Formula I only had the after-birth sort of pains/contractions for a day or so, and only with my second. I dont know if it is related to the way I delivered or what. nursed well in those short few weeks, but I dont remember any pains after his birth (pitocin only). nursed infrequently after she was born, but each time she nursed I had cramps that felt like she was sucking my toes through my nipples... I started taking Tylenol and did fine though. Those were the only pains after her birth (pit, epidural). After was born (unmedicated), I expected to have those pains and was relieved when they didnt happen. Maybe there is a mechanism of birth that makes any after-birth contraction less noticeable that is not there with an epidural. Maybe pitocin interferes with it... I have no idea. Just wondering if choices made during labor and birth might affect it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How has ONElist changed your life? Just like really bad period cramps--I started pumping at 2 days post until 4 days post, and I had to take alot of tylenol also. The nurses kept asking " do you want something stronger " and I didn't, so I just took the tylenol and dealt with it. The pains were gone by 4 days post, but i had awful vaginal pain for almost 2 months. I didn't tear but the nurses and midwife said I bruised REALLY bad and was actually black and blue( I didnt look!!)and I cam home 3 dyas post(a day 1/2 before cade) and that night I was working like crazy to ge my room and house ready, and pulled a muscle VERY badly!!( I wasn't " taking it easy " I was lifting furniture after everyone went to bed) so I couldn't sit down for a week almost, couldn't laugh for a couple, couldn't sneeze or cough for a month! Guest guest
, That was the reason I asked because Kaija was 6-4 and Zaid 7-12 so he stretched me quite a bit more.
