That is not what I asked.

I asked how many women here have been steadily losing 5 to 6 pounds

a week. Please, raise your hands so we can all see you.

Carol...

I think you have done what others might not be able

to.. Having reached a plateau for 6 months might have

well caused others to throw in the towel.. and believe

me many will or would have..

I applaud all the weight you have lost believe me..

and the glue that holds you to it..

My best to you and your continued journey.. I will not

comment on the last part of your letter since it

really does not apply to anything I spoke about..

My very best to you in your journey

Hi ,

Body mass index (BMI) is a new term to most people.

However, it is the measurement of choice for most

physicians and researchers studying obesity. BMI uses

a mathematical formula that takes into account both a

person's height and weight. BMI equals a person's

weight in kilograms divided by height in meters

squared (i.e. BMI=kg/m2).

You should expect your BMI rate to decrease as you

lose weight...

I lost 23 pounds so far on the south beach diet. That was without

exercise. Today I included 10 minutes of exercise on a nordic track

leg shaper machine thingy. I'm not sure what it's called but it's

pretty cool and I broke a sweat. I also lost 4.5 off of my bmi and 5

inches off my waist. I started out at 190 and i'm now 167.

I thought it was your body fat percentage or something. Thanks for

clearing that up.

Thank you. Admittedly, I don't walk outside much cuz I can't stand my neighbors. They watch me and then have to ask me questions like who was over and things. They used to bring me my mail every day. Handing it to me, "And you got the gas bill, a check, junk mail, and I don't know what this is." GRRRRRR Til I had a cow, then they stopped. I sometimes go up to the park and walk the track, or the beach and walk back and forth. I also like to go shoot baskets or play baseball with the kids or frizbee. But it is only just getting warm here. 55 degrees today. Snowed 12 inches or something this weekend. So for the most part, I exercise inside to a lot of videos. And I get so bored just walking. I know that sounds bad. Just seems like every minute goes by like 2 hours. lol I'm so strange. Carol

Hey !

Be sure you're talking to your doc before you increase the time on your

routine, just to be safe. He'll probably be willing to give you an a-ok on

something like that over the phone.

I guess my husband will be good for something then. LOL. I exercise

at 1pm 1 hour after breakfast and 1 hour before my midmorning snack.

I read that is the perfect time to do that. What do you think?

I guess my husband will be good for something then. LOL. I exercise

at 1pm 1 hour after breakfast and 1 hour before my midmorning snack.

I read that is the perfect time to do that. What do you think?

This machine is ok'd by my doctor they tell me to do what I can handle

and to start out slow. I'll start tightening it up probably in a week

or so it just depends. I know I lost another pound today so that's 3

pounds i've lost already on phase 2 so i'm pretty excited. i know i

shouldn't weigh myself I just can't help it. It's only once a day when

I know I get an accurate reading.

That was without exercise, but it also included the first two weeks'

water loss. The rest of your time on SBD won't include that, so weight

loss should slow down.

It really hasn't slowed down. I mean it has some. I've lost 4 pounds

on phase 2 so far and i'm on my 6th day of that.
