Guest guest
WOW- I don't see her posts that way at all! I don't eat popcorn or bars because I am trying to change my eating habits and those things will trigger munchy foods in me.............after all who can stop at one bar? I certainly can't. But you old timers understand the ins and outs better then me. I read the posts, consult me book, and decide what will work for me. I think that is what is doing too but adding in stuff that works for her. RE: re: Hospital Stay Ideas > I am not spreading misinformation. I was simply replying to > someone that also eats the bars. This is why so many just added your messages to theirkillfilter or deleted them altogether. It's also why the group responded sonegatively to you before (and after) you were removed from it.Prime example is your message on the bars here -- you attribute statementsto Agatston that he did not make. He's never said you could have popcornduring P1, he's never said you could have meal replacement bars during phase1, he's never said you could use Atkins bars, and he's never said any ofthese things could be done on a daily basis. In fact, he's publicallystated exactly the opposite and done so time and time again. You've madesimilar such statements and the simple fact of the matter is that you arespreading inaccurate information.Several of us tried to help you on the Newbies group -- you weren'tinterested. Folks have already tried helping you here and you've alreadystarted arguing with them that they're wrong. Are you seeing a patternhere?Note the name of the group -- SBD "Getting It Right". The members of thisgroup want to do the SBD the right way. That means following the guidelinesof the diet as they've been developed -- not using their own version as theysee fit. Guest guest
I can't find the websiter but it was posted on the other forum that I was in and that's where I got it from so it has been a while. You can find it in that. I know he says it's alright. Besides I lost all that weight with the bars and everything so it couldn't have been that bad for me otherwise he wouldn't put his stamp of approval. He said even though whole foods are better these are just fun too. I'm not on them anymore so can you please calm down and not jump down my throat for the things I've done. I've been successful I'm still with diet. I have lost 23 pounds in 29 days. I need to do a little research to find the website where he says it but it was one of those websites where he answers everyone's question. > > Dr. Agaston does say that it is alright to do that and I've > > been doing it since day 1. Guest guest
That's exactly what I was doing. I thought it was so much better than what I was doing before. I realized I made a mistake and now in phase 2 I'm doing everything right. My only night time snack now is 20 nuts. The second 2 weeks of phase 1 really helped a lot and now I'm over cheating at all. I'm doing well now and people from other forums were yelling at me because everything was wrong that I was doing and now I'm still getting yelled at for doing what I did before. I'm just going to ignore and let that be that. Thanks for sticking up for me again. I appreciate it. It means a lot. > WOW- > I don't see her posts that way at all! Guest guest
Yes, this is definitely spreading misinformation. If I had just started this week, I would be so confused because of the nonsense is claiming to be okay. None of this is okay for phase 1 and she is just going to confuse new people into doing things the wrong way. This group is for learning how to " do it right, " and to support those who are doing it right, not for doing it wrong and confusing new people. ann > > I am not spreading misinformation. Guest guest
You don't get it. He's not " upset " because you ate some bars, and some popcorn and stayed on phase 1 for four weeks and did things your way. He's upset because you are telling everyone that SBD says it's okay to do things the way you did it, when SBD does NOT say that. If you feel the need to cheat and do it your way, do not come here saying it's okay to do whatever you want. You will only confuse new people who are trying to actually follow SBD. and Chuck have provided pages and exact quotes from the book showing that you are wrong. You have provided nothing to back up what you say, because there is nothing to back it up. ann > > > Dr. Agaston does say that it is alright to do that and I've > > > been doing it since day 1. You should be proud of your weightloss and the changes you've made in your diet. However, you have no right recommending to others that they do the same and still consider it the SBD, phase 1, etc. You never did P1 -- you jumped straight into P2. That worked for you -- fine. But it is NOT the recommended way to go. The meal bars are NOT to be eaten daily -- even according to Agatston. He has repeatedly said that the meal bars are an occasional thing, as are the rest of the items in the Kraft line. In fact, over on the other forum, I posted the response from the SBD organization that touts their party line on this. And believe me -- I'm not jumping down your throat. I'm not even putting a great deal of effort into the replies to your posts because it isn't necessary. What I am trying to do is the same as I tried on the Newbies group -- to get through to you that you haven't followed the diet and should not recommend to others that they should go your route. Many of those who come to the SBD have been struggling for years with little or no success. Many are desperate for a solution, any solution. Many are also easily swayed if they think they can keep old habits and still lose weight. They do not need someone telling them these things and encouraging them back into patterns that have proven unsuccessful in their past. Guest guest
Dr. Agaston says on page 101 From a culinary point of view it's a perfectly ACCEPTABLE diet, for 2 or 3 weeks. After that IT GETS A LITTLE DULL. Meaning it's fine but you will possibly start getting bored but you will be fine if you stay longer. That's what that means. Which is why I stayed on it for 4 weeks! The popcorn was wrong I know that and that is why I stopped it. I make sure I state that when I say that I did that. That's all. I will no longer speak on this matter. I will avoid all posts about this. > > > > Dr. Agaston does say that it is alright to do that and I've > > > > been doing it since day 1. Guest guest
> THIS IS MY LAST PAST TO YOU BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO. > I MADE MISTAKES IN THE PAST. I NO LONGER CHEAT. I WAS MAKING > A COMMENT TO SOMEONE THAT ALREADY EATS THEM IN THE GROUP. > THEY SAID THEY WERE GOOD. THAT'S ALL I SAID. I DON'T EAT THEM > ANYMORE I AM DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT SO PLEASE GET OFF MY > CASE. I AM DONE RESPONDING TO YOU. Of course you are. This is how you respond to being challenged. -- you're spreading misinformation. You're encouraging folks to pick up bad habits that worked for you but are not a part of this plan. I, and others, have repeatedly tried to encourage you to go a different direction and yet you resist. I'm glad you gave up the popcorn and the daily meal replacement bars -- you will be much better off for those decisions. However, I'm still concerned about the misinformation you post and your " recommendations " that can lead others to failure. The Getting It Right group is my home group. I may only be a member, but I care a great deal for the people on this group. I want to see them succeed. For that reason, I spend many hours posting to this group, trying to help folks understand the diet. For that reason I put together a lengthy doc on how to start on P1 and plan on putting together even more material to help those who are new to the diet and have limited understanding of what they've gotten themselves into. During the month of March, I sent nearly *500* posts to this group and its members. That should show how much I care about these people. I will not sit back and watch as someone, like yourself, comes into this group and slowly sabotages their efforts at succeeding on this diet. This is why I will respond to your misinformation with the correct information. I will, as always, support my statements with documentation, websites, and citations to make sure anyone with even the slightest doubt of the validity of my material can review and research it himself/herself. The members of these groups come here for support and information on how to be successful at moving to a healthier lifestyle, losing weight, and eating well. That's what we're all here for and that's what I'll continue to do.
