I don't recommend it but Dr. A said it was okay to stay on it for up

Unfortunatelly I am unable to walk far distances even a block is too much because of my disability which is Spina Bifida.

What about biking? My cousin (who also has SB) has a wonderful bike that allows him to get some exercise in.. and its not too hard on his legs like walking can be.

Thank you for sticking up for me. I'm just going to ignore the ones

that are jumping down my throat. I had that in another group and I

got so angry and I don't want that to happen here. So ignoring is

the best way to go. I did it and it's done no need to yell. You are

right it's a support group. Thanks for understanding.

He does say that you can stay on it longer than 2 weeks and that the

only problem is boredom. So I stayed on it for 4 weeks and it really

really helped me. I needed that extra 2 weeks for my cravings. It

definitely worked.

> , and all

>

> Please, I am not jumping down anyone's throat.

>

> The site we are on is called " South Beach Diet - Getting It

Right. " To me this means that we should be doing things " by the

book " and trying to encourage people to do the same thing, giving

them advice when they stray from the program. This is support. I've

certainly given many on here a good old " atta boy " when they've

deserved it.

>

> However, when it appears that someone is doing the plan

incorrectly, shouldn't we comment in that regard rather than just

taking the attitude " oh well, I must not say anything for fear that

they will take offence. " To me, that's not support.

>

> Again, not to belabor the point, didn't you state " There is not a

place that says you cannot stay on phase one that long. " to which I

responded with a quote from the book " Which is why we strongly urge

all the people we counsel to switch to Phase 2 after the second

week, no matter how tempting it is to remain on Phase 1. "

>

> I'm just trying to " get it right " by not misleading people. We're

not doing anyone any favors by " bending the rules of the plan " just

because they choose not to follow them. Is there room for some

flexibility? Certainly. In my opinion, and in the doctor's, going

four weeks is outside of that flexibility. If Dr. Agatstan has

changed this position since the book was written, then so be it.

He does say that you can stay on it longer than 2 weeks and that the

only problem is boredom. So I stayed on it for 4 weeks and it really

really helped me. I needed that extra 2 weeks for my cravings. It

definitely worked.

Because you might get bored with the diet. I didn't and I really

needed it. It helped me a lot.

Well I'm going with the diet exactly how it is set up in the book

with the recipes in all. During the first week I messed up and had

popcorn and the whole time I was on phase 1 I had an atkins bar

which I stopped definitely. So I don't understand how I lost all the

weight either. I exercised 1 time. I started out at 190 and now I'm

167. Maybe it's the worse you ate before the more you lose right

away. I have no idea lol. I'm also 5 ft tall so I had a lot of

weight to lose and still do. Keep your chin up your weight will come

off of you!

He teaches all of these at the elementary schools here in stark

county. He's only a sophomore. He was invited into the honors

program and so this is his first semester into the honors program in

college. There are already schools wanting him and talking to him.

He is going to be teaching high school.

> Ok, I have heard about that program. I thought he was already a

teaching and was teaching some cool and new district mandated

science program.
