Guest guest
He teaches all of these at the elementary schools here in stark county. He's only a sophomore. He was invited into the honors program and so this is his first semester into the honors program in college. There are already schools wanting him and talking to him. He is going to be teaching high school. > Ok, I have heard about that program. I thought he was already a teaching and was teaching some cool and new district mandated science program. > > Re: Hello Everyone I'm New! > > > > It's called Mad Science. Guest guest
Well, technically, you can't say you were on Phase 1 for that long since you were eating things that aren't allowed on the Phase 1 plan. You sort of made up your own diet and it worked as far as losing weight. Whether or not it was healthy isn't really for any of us to decide. You are one of those people who need to see weight loss immediately and you aren't as concerned about the long term effects or results so that's fine. For you. But it's disingenuous to say that it's from staying on Phase 1. from MN > > > Chuck, > > > > > > It sounds like it worked for her! Guest guest
Ok, that is way you are only 5'. I am 5" taller! Yes, it is true if you used to pig out a lot and then change the way you eat. You will lose. It really is all about the calories going in. But you really need to start practicing and developing better choices for meals. I think that is why the group is getting annoyed. Popcorn, bars and frozen meals are taboo. I would think once a month for a treat or emergency in ok but not as a daily routine. Hello Everyone I'm New!> > > > > > >> > >> > > Hi everyone. Guest guest
The first week I was doing popcorn which was bad but I stopped and then it was the atkins bars instead of the desserts and so now I stopped that. My doctor says I'm so much more healthier than I was before. I was eating fast food at least once a day and so I needed that craving fix. Now I'm not doing anything wrong and I've still lost a lot of weight so I felt that I did well. You are exactly right though about the type of person I am. I want to lose weight fast. I ate everything else that was on the plan and I did it well. I'm proud of myself. Considering it changed literally overnight. I did a couple of things wrong but I was on phase 1 and I lost weight and I got healthy. That's more than I could ever ask for. > > > > Chuck, > > > > > > > > It sounds like it worked for her! Guest guest
<<Well I'm going with the diet exactly how it is set up in the book with the recipes in all. During the first week I messed up and had popcorn and the whole time I was on phase 1 I had an atkins bar which I stopped definitely. So I don't understand how I lost all the weight either. I exercised 1 time. I started out at 190 and now I'm 167. Maybe it's the worse you ate before the more you lose right away. I have no idea lol. I'm also 5 ft tall so I had a lot of weight to lose and still do. Keep your chin up your weight will come off of you!>> Okay this is where I step up and then I think I am out of this discussion. I am 5'7" and when I started this diet I weighed 317lbs. I followed the diet to a tee. I lost 18lbs my first two weeks. Why because before I went on SB all I ate was junk food. 32oz of soda everymorning, mcdonald's and our Taco Bell everyday for lunch. Sometimes for sinner when neither of us felt like cooking. That is why the weight came off. I changed the way I was eating completely. I have cheated on this WOE don't get me wrong. Many times but I am right back on the next day and I have learned that cheating right now gets me no where. After being on this WOE for 5 1/2 months I have lost 43lbs and still losing. I am having a problem with your posts. They are repeating themselves to many different people. Please only respond once or twice the same way. Repediveness is good but not in this case, I would appreciate it. I don't believe in blocking. You did ask for advice and it was given. We are all really supportive of each other and welcome you to the group with open arms. Dawnn/Sunryse/Wings May the spirits of Bears and Tigers walk by your side May the God and Godess protect you and keep you safe from harm The wings of dolphins are surely strange but I will always have mine __________________________________________________

Guest guest
, what will happen when in a few weeks you hit a plateau and don't lose any weight, or due to hormonal issues or sodium retention you gain a pound? Look for another 'new' 'improved' diet that will help you lose faster? This WOE is about eating intelligently; sensible and healthy. If you do that and move the focus off of immediate, constant, x number of pounds=success weight loss then you will see that had you not lost the 2 pounds you did, you were still doing great. Please do not focus so much on the numbers but more on believing in the basics of the WOE. " Another diet " is just that, another diet, no guarantees unless YOU make it work. Kay I'm now at 167! So I'm pretty thrilled. If I didn't lose any > weight for the next 2 weeks then I was just going to quit and go on > another diet but I'm sure glad I lost the weight! > > > >
Guest guest
Okay I won't repeat myself anymore. I just wanted the individual people that responded to me to not thing that I am ignoring them. I think that's wonderful how much weight you lost! Congratulations! I'm very proud of you and I'm sure you are proud of yourself. The positive thing now about fast food is after the diet and I'm sure you'll agree is that it smells disgusting. I've been in a drive thru with my husband and just about couldn't stomach it so that's what makes this even easier. I'm so happy for you! > <<Well I'm going with the diet exactly how it is set up in the book > with the recipes in all. Guest guest
Hi .. It is normal to want to lose weight fast.. as a matter of fact it is the American way.. the faster the better etc.. But on this WOE it usually doesn't come off that fast on Phase 2.. so just be prepared from some slower weight losses.. You have indeed done well with your weight loss.. and you should be proud even if you did not do everything by the book and never truly were on Phase 1.. I also never did Phase 1 of this WOE... I did a Phase 1 and a half for lack of a better term. I ate fruit.. I simply would not live a day without an apple or two.. Phase 2 most likely was enough to get your particular body in gear... But if perchance you hit a stall truly go and do a real Phase 1... or perhaps a Phase 1 and a half with two low GI fruits a day.. Carry on --- wrote: > > The first week I was doing popcorn which was bad but > I stopped and > then it was the atkins bars instead of the desserts > and so now I > stopped that. Guest guest
---Hi , I would hate to see people worry or feel bad comparing one person's weight loss to their own. says she lost 2 pounds her first day on phase two but she did not, I repeat NOT lose 2 pounds of fat, that would be impossible. 2 pounds of fat would be 7000 calories and no one can burn or deny in food intake enough to make that possible. Depending on what a person eats and how much, they may be losing muscle tissue, or may be dehyrating themselves in addition to fat loss. Unless you are privvy to a full food journal to see the whats and wheres and whens of someones menu, please concentrate on eating well and exercising and drinking adequate amounts of water and weight will be lost at a slow, steady, sustainable rate. Fast weight loss my feel good to some part of the 'fat'mentality, but its truely NOT a good thing. 1/2 to 2 pounds a week of fat lost is excellent. Kay ps please don't use the word ONLY when describing your weight loss, you are doing great!! with your 6 pounds a month. You do not have alot of weight to lose so your loss should be slower than someone who has alot of weight to lose. Keep up the good progress! Guest guest
There has already been a week or so that I didn't lose any weight but I wanted to stick with it. My main concern is losing weight I admit that and I do pay attention to the numbers which I shouldn't but I'm so obsessed with my weight. I have an eating disorder so instead of gorging myself I became obsessed with losing weight. But you are right I shouldn't. I try not to get on the scale but I just can't help it. Is there any suggestions that you have to avoid this? Guest guest
I'm prepared. Even if I just lose 1-2 pounds a week I'll be very happy with that. I just used to think I could get that alone with exercise but the food is what gets you there really. By June I still hope to reach my target weight. I still have hope of that at least to get as close as possible. I try not to get frustrated but it's very easy for me. I can do phase 2 without a problem everything is wonderful so far so I should be able to stick with it without a problem. > > > > > > Chuck, > > > > > > > > > > > > It sounds like it worked for her! Guest guest
I won't say anything except that really made me feel bad. That really hurt my feelings. I ate the proper amount and drank the proper amount. It's my first weight loss in a few days. I haven't done exercise but I had a garage sale yesterday and I have been setting up the past few days and there was a lot of work involved. Even if it's water weight I am still very proud regardless. > > - > > That is what I read too. Congrats on your weight loss. I just > don't understand how you are losing so much. Guest guest
Kay, Thanks for the pep talk. I know the weight will come off slowly since I put it on slowly. But at times one can't help by getting frustrated when I read how much others lost but I also remind myself that many members have over 100lbs to lose so I don't feel all that bad. Re: Hello Everyone I'm New! ps please don't use the word ONLY when describing your weight loss, you are doing great!! with your 6 pounds a month. You do not have alot of weight to lose so your loss should be slower than someone who has alot of weight to lose. Keep up the good progress! No virus found in this outgoing message.
