Really needed to hear that. Sometimes forget to feel validated for my real and

true experiences.

> You have your hands full. I feel like a whiner now. You have my

blessing and I hope to draw from your extensive experience.

I'm not sure I'm up to such praises. Really. I'll take the

blessings though. Lots of them. People ask how we manage and I tell

we don't. Right now we are surviving. It's just the way it is.

Something else too - never apologize for needing to vent. If it's

hard for you then it is hard for you. We all share that here. No

matter where you go in life you don't have to look too terribly far

to see others that have more troubles than yourself or predicaments

that are more complicated, but that still does not detract from your

own situation and whether or not it is difficult for you. We can

still be grateful for the blessings we have and be utterly frustrated

with circumstances at the same time, so...vent away if need be!

No need for apologies. I am divorced. Maybe, depending on your situation, the

divorce could be your present. Depends on the home front atmosphere. It was a

great gift I gave to myself. Think about it. Thanks for the welcome.

Re: Getting started

Hi Tara!

I have five kids: Enrique, AS, 15; , 13, NT; Sophia, 8, NT;

Xavier, AKA Putter, 6; Robbie, 3, NT. Everyone but has a

birthday coming up in the next three weeks.

And I have no money for presents until my divorce is final.

Whoops! This is an introduction. Sorry.

way :)

Oh, yes. Like you said...we have to TRY.

Salli, I think if you had not tried as hard as you did, you would forever

question if you should really have gotten divorced, and feel guilt over

" letting " your marriage end. It took strength and courage and moral

backbone to do what you did the way you did it. If ANYONE could have saved

that marriage it would have been you.

But it takes two people to make a marriage, and only one to make a divorce.

My dad told me that when he and my mom split up, and I think it's probably

the best piece of advice he ever gave me.
