Guest guest
This gets stranger and stranger.... Yes, hot feet. Tore up all my rugs and will not replace them, because a cold floor feels good. I keep my bedroom unheated, so I can sleep with my feet out of the covers. Never could understand why anyone would tuck sheets in the bottom of a bed. And I have always kept buckets of cool water every where during the summer...ahhhhh... And I have been a super sniffer all my life. My only regret is that I was not born to the right family in France. There super sniffers are highly valued in the perfume industry. Doesn't that sound like a tough day Sniffing things.... :-) Heck, I can find anything that has any odor at all. No one else ever smells anything. Though this ability can drive you crazy at times. -Pam-

Guest guest
For me, it's just a desperate need to cool down--and my feet seem to be the hottest part when I'm like that. Guest guest
I can also second that one. Also taste sensitivities--I can't abide any unnatural flavors (Vanillan, all the candy flavorings). I've left a restaurant when they seated someone with heavy perfume at the next table, too. Guest guest
Hi Pam B., My mom never had RAI so that wasn't why she did it. One doctor told her she had a high electrical current running through her body that caused her to demagnitize the watch mechanisms...I have no clue what that means LOL. Guest guest
Hi , Does lipstick turn your lips bright red, no matter what the color? I had forgotten it does that to me since I haven't even attempted to wear it in 25 years. Guest guest
Hi Laurel, No, not more acute, I don't think, but scents like perfume, hair spray, gel, shampoo, things like that will make me dizzy, sick to my stomach immediately, and I end up with a mirgraine if I don't remove myself from the area the scents are in. Even hubby's Head and Shoulders is now starting to affect me...so we now go on another shampoo search. Guest guest
Jody, This is just curiosity but have you ever taken a bunch of the stuff that you are sensitive to (smell wise) and looked for common ingredients? Perhaps this stuff can become airborne and you are reacting to it. My mother used to claim that the smell of latex paint made her ill. I didn't identify with this until I developed my latex allergy ( work related of course) and now the smell of latex paint makes me ill as well. There is just too much out there that isn't found in nature. Even some of the stuff that is causes problems. My eldest is intensely allergic to box elder which is like a weed in the old neighborhood. And without being around horses much, she is allergic to horses. Probably the horse hair in the plaster in the old house. This stuff is soooo hard to figure out because there is so much of it and because, as our bodies become more or less healthy we seem to react to different things. But that foot thing has me really stumped. Thanks for ruining my sleep! Guest guest
Whoa! This is getting scary. My middle child was born hyperkinetic. She didn't sleep through the night until she was over four years old. We sort of figured out that she was set off by artificial flavoring and coloring agents. Vanillin was one of the main offenders. And red and yellow food dyes. But we had several years of very boring looking foods without preservatives as well. This is also the one with the incredible premature gray hair. Guest guest
Terry, I've had that happen too. But not always. Never associated it with symptoms either. But it would be very cool to figure out what chemical is being created (probably oxidized but maybe no because, as I remember silver nitrate is also black.) and why your skin has a higher content of that. Those of us with metal problems might be transforming the metals to some molecules that would be VERY interesting to study for their commonalities. Anybody know how to write a grant?
