Guest guest
I have metal alergies. Can wear 14K gold earrings or surgical steel only. As long as my watch is loose I can wear surgical steel or silver also. Otherwise I break out all over. Have sensitive skin also. Can wear most Clinique but have not found a lipstick I can wear that any company makes. Wear one perfume only....Obsession...does not bother me unless it gets under my watch. Skin lotions except face don't seem to bother me. L Re: emotional lability - also a poll Re: emotional lability - also a poll Ok. I HAVE to throw this out. Guest guest
Jody, What is that? Does it mean that your sense of smell is different or more acute? I'll bet if the next survey was olfactory we would find a large percentage with more sensitive smellers as well. Laurel Re: emotional lability - also a poll I forgot, I also have scent sensitivities. Guest guest
Jody, LOL for sure. My beloved Irish Grandmother was a watch fanatic. Couldn't wear one of any kind at all. Used to make her laugh. I've killed more than a dozen. The last one was an indestructible Swiss Army Watch. Well, in fairness, it runs a bit but the little light no longer works. I'd probably lose a pocket watch. I'm negotiating for a digital palm pilot but will have to be much wealthier or on my way to grad school first. Laurel Re: emotional lability - also a poll Hi Laurel, I never had metal allergies until I got pregnant with my first child. With each pregnancy after, they just got worse. I do have to laugh about the watches just stopping! My mom could not wear a watch on her wrist, always had to have one on the chain or it quit working within 6 weeks! I haven't worn one is so long I don't know if I would make it quit working or not. Mom's problem with watches didn't start until she had high blood pressure, then they lasted for the rest of her life. Guest guest
Good Grief Jody! There must be a reason for that. Idiosyncratic as we all are,( and we really are aren't we?) that has to be some kind of circulatory thing. I know that I've seen cooling socks somewhere. Sounds like you could use them. If you stick your feet in ice water eventually they should just get hotter because of the vasoconstriction. So you are stuck with tepid stuff right? Or alcohol and the fumes would drive you crazy. Have you tried the peppermint foot stuff that is in some of the fragrance shops? Laurel Re: emotional lability - also a poll Laurel, For me it is just when they get hot, I can't stand it. Have actually walked outside in the snow barefooted to cool them off before. Not smart but it helped. Guest guest
Ruthie, The weird thing is that I could only wear gold as well until just before my Graves got really bad. Now I can wear any metal at all. Still kill watches though. Wearing biomagnets cause them to turn a strange color. And one, which had a cloth barrier between the magnet and the skin started giving me a rash. Strange lot we are. I'm sure this all makes sense on some level though. Wish I knew what it was. Any statisticians out there? Laurel Re: emotional lability - also a poll Ok. I HAVE to throw this out. How many of us have metal allergies or sensitivities as well? And that thing where you can't wear a watch because it just stops working? Laurel Laurel....I can't wear anything but 14 K gold or I get reactions

Guest guest
This gets stranger and stranger.... Yes, hot feet. Tore up all my rugs and will not replace them, because a cold floor feels good. I keep my bedroom unheated, so I can sleep with my feet out of the covers. Never could understand why anyone would tuck sheets in the bottom of a bed. And I have always kept buckets of cool water every where during the summer...ahhhhh... And I have been a super sniffer all my life. My only regret is that I was not born to the right family in France. There super sniffers are highly valued in the perfume industry. Doesn't that sound like a tough day Sniffing things.... :-) Heck, I can find anything that has any odor at all. No one else ever smells anything. Though this ability can drive you crazy at times. -Pam-
