Do you understand what fascia is? What would be the side effects of

getting that repaired? If there is a tear in it and you are doing

all kinds of sit-ups and what not, it could tear more. Why not just

have it done and get it over with? Just my opinion. Maybe I don't

understand fully what the situation is.

It can take quite a while. Especially if you make mistakes (which is easy to

do early on). Eventually the bloating should disappate, but you'll probably

still need to start excercising the muscles to get them to go back to their

job of holding your stomach in place and supporting your back (they are all

stretched out and weak, too).

Marlo,

I love what you said about our affliction being an inconvenience, you are so right, we are so much more fortunate than some others. I've had my share of bad days, unsupportive family or co-workers and tears over things I miss. I needed that reminder, especially during the holidays when home, work, parties, everywhere you go is overrun with gluten filled treats. I'm so grateful for this board and the opportunity to share our ups and downs, successes and failures and to provide support to one another.
