I had a shirt once, with a big parrot on the side and little plastic bananas for buttons down the front, hehe. Does the belt go with it, lol?

RE: Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the world..

What is a banana belt?

Haha, I'm with ya Topper! I DESPISE hot weather!! And here I am on the Tx Gulf Coast, the land of unforgiving humidity, where you literally breathe in water, and 90 something heat in midsummer, well, even now. I originally came from North Tx, which is a whole different ball game. Only 20% humidity, yet you can't feel the 100 plus temps as well as the 90s down here, on acct of the humidity is zilch. We even used evaporative air conditioners way up there, but down here, they are a no no.

Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the world..

I'll take blizzard over heat.... You can add more clothes, drink hot chocolate... but you can only take off so many clothes and not get arrested!! hehehee

My hands are flapping just thinking about all this. "Angel of Mercy" actually DOES fly, but hits ground hard in the process.

Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the world..

Did I or did I not say I was facing due south???? Although you're abit west of due south!!! hehehehe

Okay... so here I go.. if I fall down you have to come pick me up... after the after shocks are over, of course.

Facing south and slightly west. Hands flapping to the east and west..... and fanny flapping to the north...

oh my I'm gonna fall off my chair laughing, just THINKING of this!!! heheheheheheheh

Now, a 180 degree turn and do it again so I'm facing north... no jumping.. cuz I know that they'll come with the butterfly nets saying that I'm trying to fly!!!! hehehehehehe

Am I forgiven, Pard??

Not the 32 degrees is talking about. She's

talking about 32 degrees centigrade, not farenheit.

Hi, Dan!

I am with you! I have live in CA since 1961 on and off. I keep

coming back here no matter where else I have been.... We lived on the

island of Guam for nearly five years and had quakes there that make CA

quakes seem tame... When the nnas trench starts moving, everything

moves! The first one I experienced over there took our VW square back from

the parking spot on the street and moved it onto our lawn. Whew! The

houses are all " typhoon proof " which means that they are cinder block with

lots of re bar in them to withstand the winds. The windows all got taped

and the drapes closed during the typhoons... Scary, but still not as bad

as the quakes out there.

Hubby and I own an over-the-road truck. We were in the midwest in

May when the severe storms were coming through. For me, there was nothing

more terrifying than watching one of those funnels set down and move toward

you when there was nowhere you can go. The truck weighed 78,000 lbs and

that darned funnel would have just blown it away as it if was nothing. We

have seen them in AZ and CA, but never got close enough for one to throw

stuff at us! That was terrifying! It won't stop me from going out on the

truck again, but it did cause me to do some needed paperwork when I got

home. New wills, emergency notification documents, " Our Final Wishes "

letters, etc. Not worried about death, just what is going to happen to our

stuff.
