Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the

world..

I live in the " banana belt " of Canada where we have the extremes

of weather and a short way from us grow the grapes to make our wonderful Niagra

wines. In summer it is hot, as now we are at 86 degrees with humidex and

still climbing have just had temps of 100+ and in winter we have the

wonderland of the ice-storms and blizzards which are spectacular. When I

get the hang of putting pics up I will include one from this past winter.

Standing on my step-ladder waving in circles to you all and praying that this

one doesn't break like the one did 2 weeks ago. [Finishing my decorating

that is why I'm up a ladder].

We have over 800 people here.... I can't remember EVERY ONE every minute!!!!

waahhhhhhhhhh

forgive me????

*climbing up on roof.. Nope.. that won't work... too heavy... *

thinking....

Oh oh got it.... *running over to neighbors house and asking if I can go up to their brand new, just built about six weeks ago, second floor*

*going from window to window and waving and hollerin in every direction - not caring that all the neighbors are wondering what the heck a "TTSG gang" is*

Hi Carol,

It is an area where we get slightly softer weather than other areas of Canada and the States. When Buffalo and Toronto gets a bad snow storm we will get an ice-storm as we are just a shade warmer then them but the ground, trees and stuff are still cold so as it falls as sleet or rain it freezes on contact. So the Lake Erie effect makes the difference and we can grow grapes, peaches etc very easily in the summer. Love living here even if we do get the remnants of most of the hurricanes when they come straight north and get the occassional tornada when the weather goes bad.

Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the world..

Did I or did I not say I was facing due south???? Although you're abit west of due south!!! hehehehe

Okay... so here I go.. if I fall down you have to come pick me up... after the after shocks are over, of course.

Facing south and slightly west. Hands flapping to the east and west..... and fanny flapping to the north...

oh my I'm gonna fall off my chair laughing, just THINKING of this!!! heheheheheheheh

Now, a 180 degree turn and do it again so I'm facing north... no jumping.. cuz I know that they'll come with the butterfly nets saying that I'm trying to fly!!!! hehehehehehe

Am I forgiven, Pard??

I agree with you Carol, I wasn't here in '94 although my sister was

out in the Mojave working on a movie (something she does regularly to

make money) and was quite frightened by it. _But_ for frequent and

messy destructiveness, midwest storms have California quakes beat all

holler - and that's even without the bloody tornadoes! I hate those

things!

No, but it has been hotter than h_ _ _ _. Try about 101 degrees last week and in the high 90's today with a lot of humidity. Forget trying to stay dry, or smell half way nice all day -- need several baths a day and then some. Good ole TEXAS Summer!

Re: OT silliness.... Major weather shows around the world..

What? No blizzards with 50 degrees below zero temps PLUS wind chill!!! hehehehehhe

.... softy!!! hehehehehe

A blizzard right now sounds refreshing. My daughter who is 6 1/2 months pregnate would agree. She is very uncomfortable with this Texas heat.

I had a shirt once, with a big parrot on the side and little plastic bananas for buttons down the front, hehe. Does the belt go with it, lol?
