<<<So then she changed it to that it isn't how smart he is that is important in

school. She said what really makes a good student is one that raises his

hand and stands in line, etc. And that the smart kids are not the good

students. >>>

OMG what are we sending our children to school for, to become human droids.

HOLY Moses this lady need a good kick in the ass....

Let's not even think our children need to be real thinkers and not followers.

Well, I have to say, these are precisely the reasons I would not have gone

in the first place...I would just have called and said, " Mail me the

paperwork. "

But good for you. You stand your ground and make the point. This is

SERIOUS. He could have died.

Oh, you know that legally binding document that is so very inportant to you?

It says he can't have pineapple...

I give up. I can't catch up.

I had to do the same thing with Alec. But the teacher was really nice in my

case. But I think it must be a formality. ugh.

My Wed. Meeting with teacher

Well first off the teacher was late for the meeting. That didn't impress me.

She tried making light of the situation, and saying how I CAN'T pull Mark out

of school because we have a legal binding document that I signed so I can't

pull him out. I told her that there is paperwork that can be done so I CAN

pull him out.

Then she wanted him to only come a few days a week. I told her that still

doesn't change that she didn't pay attention to his allergies and what is it

going to be next time.

She tried to make me look bad for wanting to pull him out. She pushed the

social issue. I said I could get him in play groups, and take him to the

library for story time.

So then she changed it to that it isn't how smart he is that is important in

school. She said what really makes a good student is one that raises his

hand and stands in line, etc. And that the smart kids are not the good

students. Whatever.....yada yada yada.

I told her I wasn't changing my mind and they might as well get the paperwork

for me to sign.

Now they are having some director of something call me to talk to me. I

can't remember what exactly he is, I'll find out when he calls.

Oh but according to her you can't die from food allergies. She

supposedly called her doctor to find out. And it doesn't matter how

much he has. She says if he gets just a drop or eats three cans of

pineapple it won't make a difference.

I told her it doesn't matter. Yes you can die from food allergies,

for example if his airway would swell up before anyone could do

anything about it. And I'm not about to find out if it takes some

pineapple juice or a number of pieces of pineapple. He is allergic

which means you don't give it to him. Some people just don't get it

and that's why he's not going back!
