i got the same thing. i remmeber when i said to my sponsor i

had experinced all the promises without having done the steps,

and he almost laughed, he definetly smirked.

but why wouldnt i? everyone of those is perfectly attainable by

simply not drinking and hiding in bottle. but of course they have

to have some carrot for you to stick around. if newcomers knew

thye coudl " get what they got " without AA, they probably wouldnt

stick around.

I had the same thing happen to me when I was attending meetings as a part of my requirements of my daily group therapy during my time in rehab. This bitch that was running the meeting got to me and I shook my head no and told her to move on to the next person, she then asked me my name, I told her AGAIN to move on, she then asked me what my DOS was and what my drug of choice was, I finally looked at her and asked her what part of MOVE ON she didn't quite grasp the concept of? I was so pissed I got up an walked out
