Guest guest Posted January 9, 2001 Report Share Posted January 9, 2001 i got the same thing. i remmeber when i said to my sponsor i had experinced all the promises without having done the steps, and he almost laughed, he definetly smirked. but why wouldnt i? everyone of those is perfectly attainable by simply not drinking and hiding in bottle. but of course they have to have some carrot for you to stick around. if newcomers knew thye coudl " get what they got " without AA, they probably wouldnt stick around. > Bravo - I can't tell you how many times I have been feeling really good about > life, about my job, or whatever, and some Big Book Banger would come along > and say, " Yeah, just keep riding that pink cloud. This bitch that was running the meeting got to me and I shook my head no and told her to move on to the next person, she then asked me my name, I told her AGAIN to move on, she then asked me what my DOS was and what my drug of choice was, I finally looked at her and asked her what part of MOVE ON she didn't quite grasp the concept of?
