Dawn dawn The boat holds about 40 people, It goes about 20miles out and no you can not see any land. We did see a seal a couple of weeks ago. We might go on a Monday because not as many people and more room to move around. Its lots of fun, We pack a good breakfast and snacks, and lots of drinking water. I sure hope we can get together, and if anyone is reading this you are welcome to come. I don't think they ever did. Unless they just wrote to my doctor....I don't know. You are right, they don't care about 'you'. You are only a number to them. The people you are talking to are just there to answer the phone and fill out the papers. They are not medical experts and they don't know this stuff. In addition to calling the newstation, I think you should print up everything you can about myositis and JO-1 and lung involvement. You can even print up my story and I am sure Vicki's (I don't think that she would mind) and send that along with it. When I applied my doctor wrote a great letter, not just about the disease but how the medicine makes me feel. I also wrote my own letter telling them NOT what I could do, but what I COULD NOT do. I told them I couldn't play with my kids on the floor or take them to the park or bathe them or cook for them all the time or shop without help. I told them that I hadn't been to the mall in a long time because I can't even walk from the parking lot without getting winded.......I went on and on......just like me, eh??? Things will get better.
