Guest guest
I feel much, much more sleepy and tired now then I did a few weeks back when I was on 20 mg HC daily. How come? Is it the body getting starved for T3?I have on idea how I will last this christmas eve... And it's only 3 pm now... Can I takeextra HC to see if I last longer from that? Guest guest
Yes it is always safe to take a little HC stress dose.Holidays are KNOWN for causinf a need for stress dosing. Guest guest
Thanks Nick!I woke up today at 11 am and took my first 10 mg HC at 11:30. A little late, yes.My face feels fat, my tummy sticks out, (these things are noticeable not only visually, butI can also "feel" it, and it's bothering me!) my eyes are running with something, my headis heavy, I have a slightly sore throat, pain in my upper back behind my lungs, heart isskipping an occasional beat, BUT the worse thing is that it's difficult to breathenormally - Like something is blocking my lungs at the top of them. Does anyone knowwhat this can be? It was not like this a few weeks ago.I constantly brainstorm myself with either "too much HC" or "too little T3 in my cells" ...Also, does it matter if that last 5 mcg piece of T3 every night is less than 5mcg?I take one pill, split it in two halves (one piece is always 60% of the total size of the pill)then I split that one in two halves - Leaving one at 60% or more, the other one the otherhalf. Now, the first half I got when splitting the pill itself in two halves, is left to be split inanother two halves. Leaving me thinking that last piece is maybe even 3 mcg of T3.I would get more than 10 mcg from the first two halves, maybe 11 or 12 mcgs.Is it ok to get let's say 13 mcg of T3 one day, the next day 15, the next day 17 mcg?Cause this just can not be done right! >I mde it thru the night. Guest guest
I have looked at the iron IV you suggested, but I am always afraid of those ever so rareside-effects, so I doubt that I will try it. It's nice to know, though. Like, if I start to get amyxedema and have no other choice but to take the iron IV to raise my T3, I must do it.Does the IV work instantly? Has anyone in this group tried the IV?I am at 75 mg iron daily. I will try to raise it to 100 mg in a few days. Well, after seeingmy Ferritin raise from 24 to 66 in a month++, I have hopes for these Amino Ferrochel tablets. How do I go about doing the break before the blood sample; I just stop taking 75 mgiron daily for 5 days, then take the blood samle, then go directly back to 75 mgiron? Or do I need to slowly increase the iron again after I've stopped taking it for 5days?Air hunger. That might be it. It can explain a few things. Let's say I got Adrenal FatigueAND also increased rT3 back in May 2007 after a severe stress-episode (I was put in ahorrible life and death situation with two other people!), maybe this is point where myT3 began to get blocked from my cells, thus giving me the lung symptoms aldreadyback then? It really started in May 2007 - This air hunger, if that's what I felt and feel today. You say the T3 will even out over a couple of days - Even if I juyst throw the 5 mcg bitsinto the pill box and take a random 5 mcg piece the next day? Do I have to be verycareful about the doses or can I just take approx 15 mcg daily?T. >I woke up today at 11 am and took my first 10 mg HC at 11:30. Has anyone in this group tried the IV? There are several people who have had good results from it, I'm just digging back through some old posts to see what I can find. I found this link that had been posted http://www.rxlist.com/script/main/rxlist_view_comments.asp?drug=venofer & question\ id=fdb20109_pem From there " I was bothered by RLS, leg cramps, shortness of breath, palpitations, sore/sensitive tongue, cracks in lips, etc.. I am so glad to get a break from all that and am encouraged so far. " There are also people there who have had adverse reactions but still found it beneficial. On this list there was this posting >Date: Fri, 24 Jul 2009 04:23:26 -0000 > >Yes, only one. I had 300mg venofer which took about 2 hours. Honestly, it wasn't a big deal. I drove myself to the hospital. I sat in a recliner with my feet up, ate lunch, and watched tv. The nurses did come in to check on me every 15min. or so. I had the IV about 5 weeks ago. I was told to wait 3 weeks before re-testing ferritin. My levels went from 24 to 196. Yes, too high but doc. isn't concerned, it will come down. There are people who have had it who haven't felt better immediately, they (probably correctly) surmised that they would need to optimise thyroid levels to feel well, the rise in ferritin though allowed them to take more T3. >I am at 75 mg iron daily. Guest guest
I had iron IVs.After I could not raise my ferritin with taking 250/300mg iron per day for more then a half year I got the infusions.I was scared from all I read and tghe doctor told me about posibble side effects but that used to be from a old kind of med they used not from venofer.I had 5 infusions of 200mg venofer one per week and my gerritin raised from 15 to 200.For 2 years before that I was able to take max of 5mcg T3.3 weeks after the the beggining of the IVs I raised the T3 to 30mcg and now one and a half months later I'm at 55mcg.So,yes the IVs are the one that pulled meout of the whole. Guest guest
How long do I have to do T3-only before I get back to normal?I've been on it for 2 weeks now.Just got pressure on my heart/tightness in the heart/chest, and it started like 3-4 hours afterI took T3. Does that make any sense?I also need to find out how to get back on 75 mg iron after stopping it for 5 days for a Ferritin blood sample. Does anyone know how to do that? Gradually go back to 75 mg or directly back to it?My stamina is almost zero when I do physical movement. Like, today, I tried to shower snow. I did it for 20 seconds, then boom, I had to stop and go back inside. Just had no power. How do one exercise with Hypo, rT3/T3-only, HC and AF? I haven't moved much in 2 years now...
