ph,

I don't know any doctors around there but can offer some moral

support because I know exactly what it's like. I had redness in my eyes

mainly my right eye and at work people were starting to spread rumors that I

was an alcoholic which i'm not. It was kindof dumb though because it was just

my right eye that got red so obviously don't they think both my eyes would be

red if drinking was the problem. Anyways my eyes are doing great now after

taking Minocycline for months now. It took about a month for it to control

the redness for me. It is also winter here now so I think I do better when

it's colder. I know during the summer the hot days were my worst. Like I said

I know what it's like to have people say things like that to you and I know

alot of other people in here have experienced the same. Just hang in there it

will get better. I didn't think it would for me after having that problem for

a year but once I got on the right track I am doing good now.

Carole,

I bought mine at Shaws Supermaket. I live in Derrry, NH . But

one would assume that if they did not carry it in other Shaws

stores they could order it for you. I also have a friend who gets it

at Super Walmart in Amherst NH.

The other thing is it is usally in the breakfast isle. I keep looking

next to the powder drinks or next to other liquid diets.

Hope I helped,

Kathy

Hi

I'll bet your local grocery store manager will order it for you if you

ask. I know our store just can't keep it on the shelf. In the past I have

asked for them to carry a special product and they have obliged me . I am

able to find the suger free carnation instant breakfast at Shaws and at Stop

and Shop. Do you have these stores near-by ?? good Luck>

I used STD at work, got 60% of my pay...it was tight, but I managed. I

notified certain companies for billing payments, that I wouldn't be sending

full amounts for payments, they were pissed, but I didn't care! :)

Dawn

Help

Can you post-ops tell me what you did regarding financial situations

following the surgery. I know I can expect to be out at least 2

weeks, but how do I manage financially? I know I need to look into

short term disability but any other suggestions?? I don't have

enough time here...we barely get two weeks a year :(

I live alone. I was to be discharged 24 hrs after surgery but

begged to stay one more night only because I live 200 miles away and

did not want something to go wrong being so far away.

I had no problems at home. I stocked up before surgery with broths,

yogurt, Atkins shakes, eggs, cottage cheese, cream soups, crystal

light, etc. My surgeon allows driving 5 days post-op if lap, 2

weeks if open. First day home I walked 1/2 mi in am and pm. Fourth

day post op I was walking 1 mile in am and again in pm. I only

avoided lifting anything. If it wasnt for the holidays, I would

have been back to work the day after having staples removed.

The only thing unusual was I napped on demand and had no alarm clock

to wake to.

Could be illness coming on, sometimes the seizures show up before any

sign of being sick. Hopefully thats what it is (strange thing to say,

isn't it)
