Guest guest
Thank you so so so SO much. I haven't talked to Angie since Thursday, but she was REALLY frustrated when I left after trying to help her, and so was the baby. Maybe if I can get her to call one of those ladies they can help her better and she can actually breastfeed like she wants to. Guest guest
So why doesn't she go in another room and feed her baby? She should only pump after feeding the baby, at this point. Guest guest
well she went to the lc and cameron is jandice. the cure is to sit in the sun for 20 min a day. he is not up at his birth weight yet and he should be. she said do not hold him like a football. and to hold his neck and not his head. its still not a cuddly comfy hold. she says she needs to nurse at least 25 min. that is when the good milk stuff comes in. the stuff that makes him fat. she needs this expensive pump. the lc says she needs it. and needs to pump every two hrs. she is not making enough milk yet. Guest guest
Shaa, It will be well worth it for her to get the double electric pump and keep up with the pumping routine while nursing. They will get it, just make sure she is getting support. She should attend La Leche League meetings. Guest guest
She could rent a double, electric pump that is hospital grade. I have had great luck with the Medela Lactina Plus. I rented it from my lc, and many pharmacies rent them as well. Medela probably has a webiste and a 800 number. Some insurances do cover this cost. Guest guest
well the latest is. she took him to the dr. today and the dr. was very concerned about his weight. i think he gained 1 lb in his two weeks of life. so he said here give this to him no breast milk just this formula. if this dont work there is one more we can try. oh i breathed a sigh of relief. did that too soon. he threw up twice taking the formula.and of course they cannot get a hold of the dr. she is about to loose it. so am i. i feel soooo sorry for that dear precious grand son of mine.i just dont know what they can do now. except the one more the dr. has. thing about it is that they have a cash flow problem and he has not been to work since he has been born. then he is going to work half days which means half of what he did make. that worries me to death. they are not married. so i dont know if she can get on wic. i think there is a hold up somehow. needless to say i am sad and have been crying over this.
