Sorry Val - its just such a pain turning celcius into farenheight.

Here are the last three days and all from underarm and taking 20HC

Averages:

98.73 , 98.64, 98.46

I have to admit that I only took 18mg of HC today as I feel so horrid

in the mornings with my highest dose. I have been dosing 8 -6 -4 -2.

So today I dosed 6 -6-4 -2 and my average temps for today were 98.47

I do hope I haven't done the wrong thing - its just so hard to be

bedridden and unable to function.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Cheers

Geraldine

I think you did the right thing, But hold this for a few days to make

sure your temps are level and do not keep lowering. If they start to

fluctuate or go lower, it means the htyriud is not gettign to the cells

and this will not make you feel any better. I find ti so hard to fathom

how such a low dose is causing thee problems this seriously btu I have

seen others that get REALLY strogn reactions to even small overages of

cortisol so I know it DOES happen. I am lucky in that I can take 20MG

over my regular dose any day and feel nothign but good from it. But I

also know what long term high cortilsl does to people's health so I am

very aware of the need to lower when you accidentally get too high.

Val

This is concerning me now. I thought my problems were from high

cortisol blocking the thyroid getting in. If I lower the cortisol

then I was assuming that more T3 will get absorbed. Maybe I need to

up my T3 - my TSH was extremely low so all my thyroid is getting is

what I am supplementing (am I correct?) Why eles would T3 not get

into cells? I do have low ferritin.

Your thoughts would be appreciated

The problem is that as you lower cortisol your adrneals have to start

making enough to keep the T3 getting to the cells. High cortilsl uses up

all the T3 for just metablism causing too hgh metabolic rate and none of

the detoxing or healthful benefits of proper T3 function are felt. Too

low cortiosl stops T3 from entering the cells at all. So by watching

your temps you can tell what os going on. The idea ois to lower, let

your adrenals increase their function and adapt to making their share ,

then lower some more till you get the perfect balance. If you lower too

quickly, your cortiosl levels will drop as the adrenals can;t picvk up

their production of cortisll that fast and the T3 stops gettign ot the

cells at all. So doing ths slowly is crucial to success.

Ok. This is hard to get my head around in the place im in - the brain

is not taking much in.

So, do you think my plan should be to slowly wean off the HC and then

wait two weeks to have saliva testing done? What would that mean in

taking T3?

If you could can you give me a global picture and plan?

Thanks so much

You could do that, but I would recvommend constant temp grahign and lkower till

temps start fluctuating then raise JUST A TSAD from that. In other words the

lowest dose you can get away with and still have stable temps. Thjsi is what you

need. It may be that you CAN go totally off HC and if so that is grewat, but you

are only setting your self back further by lowering too much to get labs that

will show you are still low.. See what I mean?

-I think so but how would I know that I had low cortisol in the first

place rather than high? I would have thought that I had high as I had

the bad reaction to Armour and taking it meant I developed RT3. Is

this how it works?

If you are able to keep stable temps and completely wean off HC then i

would do so and get saliva labs thta will tell you if you have high

cortisol still. You can have RT3 issues form low or high cortilsl so

that does not tell us much.

-Val - While I do this (which feels right to me) then what do I do

about the T3? I am taking 20mcgs @ 5 -5- 5- 5. Do I just stay on this

and hope its enough as I lower the HC?

Thanks

Val

As I lower the HC is there any reason not to take some

Phosphatidylserine (PS) or would this just add to stressing the

adrenals?

My temp was a bit low today but I will see if it recovers tomorrow. You

said if it gets low the thyroid isn't getting into the cells. What is

done about that as I can't raise my T3 while lowering the HC?

Thanks

AS PS ias an unknown quantity as to how MUCH it lowers cortiosl I think it best

not to take while lowering HC. If the temps do NOT recover in a 3 day period you

need to go back to last dose that help good tems and hold longer. That is a

dignal you are TOO low in cortiosl so raising thyroid would make it worse.

Decreasing HC MUST be done slowly and as your body can handle it.
