I've had reactions before but nothing near what you just expierenced! Hope the headache wasn't too bad and this NEVER happens again! nancie and all yes it was the dye for the PET scan. I did ok with the CAT scan contrast Medium. I don't eat shellfish so I have no way of knowing if I am allergic to it or not. I know ihave had other dye tests with no problems EG IVPm, previous CAT and MRI so who knows. The doctors receptionest thought she was doing a good thing scheduling everything for one tripso I didn't have to go back and forth but it didn't work out that way. I am not sure if she read the order where it stated both were contrast tests. since some CAT scans are contrast and some are not. The headache was similar to a migraine but I weathered through it.
