It sure is nerve wracking. I have remained faithful to the diet in spite of. Its the only diet I've ever been on that to eat as little as I do I just don't get that hungry. I think thats a victory in itself. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate it. Pete

Since I have degenerating spine disease (its like arthritis) I've been taking 1200 grams of calcium with D. My dr. told me to take it. I took kava kava for awhile and need to get back on that right away.(that was my idea) Plus I take centrum cause I never did eat everything they always said was good for me. But other than what I take thats actually written as a prescription is all know of about what it's for. I don't know beans about what any of supplements are for.So could you explain what a fat grabber is and what it does, where does it go? That sort of thing. Guest guest
Pete, I am just a sucker!!! I have been taking some vitamins for a long time. I take Chitosan as an extra fiber supplement, it is a " fat grabber " , L-Carnitine is a fat burner, Calcium Pyruvate gives me my calcium (since I can't have milk) and Pyruvate helps me with energy when I work out. L-Glutamine helps with sugar cravings, my daily vitamins are essential, Chromium I have been taking for years, etc. etc. Chris
Guest guest
Yes Pete, the fat helps push you further into ketosis. I find when I add more fat to my diet, I lose quicker, at least initially. For the first 2 weeks, you should think Fat, fat, fat!!!! Chris
Guest guest
Pete, Fat Grabbers are basically fiber. They sat they " trap " the fat, but basically, you take them before meals and it helps grab fat for " disposal " . I keep very regular by taking them and that is what I like. Atkins tends to keep me " stopped up " and these help that alot. It is the best fiber supplement I have ever taken....... Chris
Guest guest
Yeah, salad usually helps clear it up too :-) Chris

Because it takes up the fat in your stomach, it also takes up any supplements with it, so you need to not take any other supplements the same time you take the Chitosan or you are just wasting your money, and not getting the benefit of the supplement. I can't remember where I read that, I was using Chitosan at the time and getting stomach aches from it, so I was trying to find info on it. I didn't loose any weight while I was taking it, so I quit. Guest guest
Yes Liz, you have to take Chitosan at a different time from your other supplements. I have a schedule to follow with my supps, but I am used to it. I take it as a fiber supplement rather than for weight loss. Chris
