Yeah! We get to see the famous and brothers!

Maybe will become a veterinarian and look for a cure for arthritis in

animals! =)

Jake reminds me of me when I go into an office supply store! I have more pens

than the stores do! Among other things.

That was a very moving story, . Your Nanny was quite a loving,

romantic soul.

That's very sweet of you to liken all of us to Nanny. What a nice

compliment! Don't leave yourself out though. I see that same resolve to do

what is required for a loved one no matter how difficult in you. You take on

many challenges for your boys and see them through. You undoubtedly learned

much from Nanny's example.

Thanks for sharing that,

sue,

i have tired every over the counter sleeping aid there is even melatolane(not

sure about spelling) i have to take almost 5 times the recommend dose to even

get sleepy. i have always had a very high tolerance to meds. even antibotics.

start me out on the usual and every 2 weeks would put me on a different and

stronger one. one time i had an absessed tooth and had to wait days to go to

the dentist and ended up having to go to the hospital er 3 days in a row or

iv antibotics when they weren't making a difference they called my dentist

and made him see me the next day to pull the tooth and then after he pulled

it instead of the infection draining out it pocketed its self in the next

tooth so i turned around and had to have that one pulled too. the infection

was making my face turn green and swollen and it was moving up my face and

they feared it would go into my brain. can you imagine something being life

and death due to a absessed tooth?

any way. back to the sleeping disorder. my mom has it and so does my

grandmother. i sleep maybe 2 or 3 hours a night if i can and then i will take

20 min naps off and on during the day but i don't like doing that cause jared

is home with me and i don't want him to think mommy slept his child hood

away. i want to sleep at night like everyone else and when my little one is

up during the day spend my time with him. he is real good about me napping

though, he will either lay down with me on the couch or he will play with his

play dough at the coffee table and he will watch cartoon network( waits for

all the scooby doo cartoons to come on, he loves scooby) or he will get on

the computer and play one of the childrens programs we have. if he goes into

the bathroom he will tell me. he is pretty great even though he is my little

hellion.

so if you have any ideas i sure am open to them cause when i go back for my

recheck i will also be going on Zyban to quit smoking and that will also

affect me by making me stay awake. i was doing really good with quitting, i

went from 2 packs a day to only 10 cigarettas a day if that cause i don't

usually smoke the whole thing and i don't smoke in the house. dr said those

last ones are the means ones to stop but is very proud that i have come so

far. he said its harder for me cause i have so much stress in my life and he

was very surprised that i had gotten to 10 a day. so thats also my next goal

and then the other goal is to lose the 50 pounds i gained over the last year

from being so sick. dr said that the unexplained wt. gain was a sign of

Endometriosis too. i have never been bigger then a size 5 unless i was

pregnant and thats even after having 5 kids. so its been on my mind alot and

i don't like it so i have many goals. jared and are going to start walking

everyday when the other kids are in school. well i will walk and he will ride

his bike and we will go to the play ground and i will play with him and use

the monkey bars for pull ups lol. maybe all the exercise will help with the

sleep problem a little. i don't know can only hope. cause i can go 3 days

without sleeping at all.

well iam off , if you have any ideas please let me know thanks

I don't know if this will work or not but here goes. the ONE and only time I

tried elavil I slept for almost 3 days! So, no more of that. recently

though, with my RA acting up again in my rib cage, I have been having

trouble sleeping. My RD suggested I try benedyl because we know that the

lowest dose knocks me out (had experience with allergic reactions) and it

worked. I took 12.5mg a night and didn't wake up all groggy. So, there's my

two cents on that.

now on to the endometriosis, I too had it. I say had because I did finally

have a complete hysterectomy from it. They say the best thing for endo is

pregnancy!! This keeps the estrogen level really low, which endo " feeds " on.

I'm sorry to hear that your previous MD cut and tied your tubes, on top of

clamping them. Did this doctor repair that? I don't remember reading that,

but I might have missed it. Anyway, please stay on top of your endo, make

sure you have a MD very familiar with this disease, it can be insideous. I

don't mean to alarm you, it's just that alot of MD's don't take it seriuosly

and then you end up like me, at 33 never having the option to have children

by ANY means. Ok, enough of this. Enjoy your walks, I envy you. My knees are

causing me so much grief right now that just walking across the house is a

chore :( I've had 2 Remicade infusions but without anything else. My liver

count is back to normal, YIPPEEE, and if it stays that way for a little

while I might be able to add some MTX on board.

Bye for now,

Barb in Ca

back and neck. wants to make sure cause of jesses case but it could just be a

dislocated verterbre in his neck. said robert is to young not to be able to

touch his chin to his chest and have pain 2 to 3 times a week in his back and

neck. i will let you know when we get the labs back on monday or tuesday.

Thanks , we were able to enjoy thanksgiving. jesse and robert still

aren't feeling well. jesse stayed home again but i couldn't get robert to

stay home. he said if he felt bad he would call me to pick him up at school.

about 5am yesterday i woke up with one of the worst migraines i have ever

had. it was in my left eye. i couldn't open it but i couldn't keep it closed

either cause i kept seeing bright purple light in that eye and that hurt

worse then having it open. and his dad took me to the er and the dr

said ''no wonder you have a migraine both your ears are infected sunshine.''

i couldn't believe it cause i have no syptoms what so ever other then cold

like symptoms so he gave me a shot of antibotics and a shot of demoral for

pain and a prescribtion for an antibotic and decongested. the headache is

gone but i feel pretty yucky. now i know how jake feels when he gets an ear

infection. i have never had one so my mom says.

sorry i don't have better news to share with you but iam sure i will in a

few days. take care,

You are certainly having your share of troubles. I hope things settle

down for you soon. I use to get migraines so I know how painful they are.

I also have problems with ear infections, and they are awful. My ears

never hurt either and when I go to the doctor they are so bad that it takes

a while to get better. Hope you and the kids are better soon. Rest if

you can.

a,

iam not sure how they will do this with jesse. he has a mass on his

trecha(sp) and they don't like to put him to sleep due to his lung disease. i

am sure not going to let them do it when he is awake though. iam glad they

let you stay with your son until he went to sleep and was there when he woke

up. it sure makes a difference with the child.

when robert was 4 he had tubes put in his ears and i was there when he went

to sleep but they didn't come and get me when he woke up. what a mistake that

was. he was screaming and throwing a fit. we could hear him in the waiting

room and i couldn't get to him and i was crying as bad as he was. he got

scared cause all of the sudden he could hear all these strange sounds that he

couldn't hear before and there was strangers and mommy wasn't there. then

they gave him moraphine to calm him down thinking he was in pain. i felt so

bad.

i intend to be there for every step for all the kids and i have been since

that time.

thanks for sharing this with me i feel a little better.

If they can't put him completely under, they may be able to use a twilight

sedation. He is not asleep, but he wouldn't care what they did to him.

Here's an article that describes it:

Conscious Sedation With High-Dose Midazolam for Pediatric Gastrointestinal

Endoscopy

http://www.sma.org/smj/97aug9.htm

That is a terrible thing to happen to both you and .

Since he was only 4 years old, I am surprised that they didn't realize he

was scared and wanted his mom. I hope you get to be with when he

wakes up.

Thanks so much a,

is much better now. he only has the lingering cough and he still isn't

very hungry. he will try and go to school tomorrow. is doing much

better. just a little cough but no more fever. Of course i did get it. i woke

up this morning with a stuffed head, runny nose and a cough that sounds

horrible. iam taking an antibotic to open the tubes in my lungs and its

getting loose in there. i guess i caught this cold/flu at a good time though.

i have just started Wellbutron to help me quit smoking and with this cold i

really don't want to smoke. i don't smoke all that much in the first place, i

got down to at the most 10 smokes a day but giving those last ones up has

been hard and the patches don't work for me or the gum. Zyban has to many

side affects so my dr said Wellbutron is my best bet, so keep your fingers

crossed that i can kick this really disgusting and nasty habit.

jesse seems to be doing fine, no signs of this flu. i sure hope he doesn't

get it. i did have to cancel his dr appt. for tomorrow with the rheumy, but

with me being sick and jared still coughing, i didn't want to carry it to the

dr.s office. the bug guy is coming on tuesday and i told his office to make

sure he wears a mask when he comes here. lol. one good thing with us all

being sick is that the boys friends have been here all week and i get a

vacation from all the neighborhood kids. they all coming to our house cause

the boys have a play station, 2 N-64 with 20 games, a super Nintendo and the

big screen tv in the living room.. Yes my kids are very spoiled. wanted

to get them a Play station 2 but they were all sold out. i have a feeling

that he will get them one with in the the next 2 months.

well i didn't mean to ramble on. i am off to my new comfortable bed and

hopefully not suffer to much tonight.

take care,

Glad your son is feeling better. I hope that you get through this flu fast

and without too much down time. I have my fingers crossed that I do not get

it. It ALWAYS turns into asthma and then I am sunk for about 1.5 months.

Stay warm and rest well.

I'm sorry you wound up getting it too. I hope you recuperate quickly.

It's

rough when mom get sick. I hope your family takes good care of you as you

did them. My son is spoiled too. He is more into computer games and plays

with other kids over the modems. He still plays the nintendo and

playstation, but not as much as the computer.

I thought welbuten and zyban were the exact same drug. My husband was

prescribed zyban, but the insurance wouldn't pay for it (they'd rather pay

for lung cancer) so the pharmacist told me to have the doctor prescribe

welbutin since it is the same thing. I'll have to look them up and see.

Good luck with your quitting. It's the best thing I ever did. It's been 3

years for me, but I did it the easy way - I went in the hospital for 3 weeks

and had my knee replaced :)

Feel better soon,

a

Thank you . I have an appt for tomorrow morning to see whats up. Today i

have pain but its more like an ache all the time and when i do bending or

turning it feels like a sharp burn. I am still having waves of wanting to

throw up but they aren't as intense. I am having hot flashes and cold chills

and i feel really tired. All this for a pulled muscle. thats what i thought

any way at first. Don't worry we will find out what is going on.

Hi ,

It sounds like you need to rest. I know that is hard with kids, but I

think you should. Let the house go until you feel better. Never fear it

will be waiting for you when you are better. Hope you feel better and find

out what is wrong tomorrow.

i got some news. my md had no clue what was wrong but he sent me to a surgeon

and he said that he thought that my endormitriois has attached itself to my

appendix and maybe my kidney and because of the pain there it has made me

compensate on that side which has strained the muscle in my back and my

stress is causing me to have muscle spasms. He gave me a prescription for

muscle relaxants that wouldn't mess with me to much and still be able to have

somewhat of a normal life. he wants me to see my gyn which iam wanting for

his nurse to return my call. My gyn may have to go back in and check out my

appendix and kidney with the scope but if thats the case i will wait until

after surgery maybe even till school lets out, which is may 18th.

I went to court today about the 2 counts of CDM charges. The judge asked me a

few questions and asked me if i was doing the best i could with the kids

illnesses and i said yes and he told me i could leave and he didn't want to

see me again unless the school charged me with something else and when he

said that he gave the woman from the school board a challenging look as if to

say i dare you to mess with this woman again. It was pretty cool. The woman

from the last time i went to court was not there it was a new woman and she

didn't argue at all. It seems the court has researched the stuff my lawyer

gave them and found out the school has be harrassing me. It was a great

victory and i wanted to share it with you all.

Sorry that your doctor wasn't sure, but at least the surgeon had a guess

about what's going on with you. Waiting until May 18th is a long time! Hope

you are feeling OK right now.

Congratulations on your victory in the courtroom! That is very good news.

Sorry you had to go through all of that. Let's hope that's this is the end

of all of that nonsense.
