LOL....believe or not I am one in a million, I detest

chocolate. I have just been reading about high blood

sugar and mine seems to be very high. I am not much

of an eater to begin with. Lot's of the stuff on

Diabetes is conflicting. Like saying you are hungry

all the time I am not. I am thirsty very much so. I

probably down 2 gallons a day. When I wake up my

thirst is so bad I can easily drink 32 oz's of

water.......Take Care, Connie

He told me I am type I........I read that also about

Hep C and Diabetes. I am just starting to research it

and so much is contradictory, of the way I feel and

other stuff. Maybe it is the other things wrong with

me that covers it up. Does the problems ever end?

I will let you know when I find out stuff....Thanks

Connie,

My grandmother was also able to control her

diabetes for many, many years by diet alone. It took

a while after she was diagnosed to get her nutrition

in line, but after that it worked well for her too.

Holy Cow Connie! Good luck on getting your scripts filled. Yes I

know.. it's ALWAYS something!

took hubby to ER today. His dog bit in friday and he wouldn't go to

doc to get anti biotics.. so I gotta do it today when his arm is all

swollen. I kept warning him they may amputate. Stubborn man. And

today was shot day and PMS day and very tired I should be resting day

for next week. Men sheesh! And this after his first full week back to

work.

Let us know how it goes

I already eat like that. My friend Eddie said Good

Lord Girl what are you going to eat, you don't eat

enough now to keep a bird alive. The only problem I

am going to have is having to eat when I am suppose

to. Not just whenever I feel hungry. Most of the

time that is once a day and I will eat anything to get

rid of the hunger. Then I am content till the next

time. I drink a lot of juice and eat a lot of veggies

sometimes spinach right out of the can cold. People

always say Yuck (like you are now).....I want to thank

all of you, you guys keep my spirit up......Connie

Sorry to hear of your added problem of diabetes. I know a woman here that

has Hep C and diabetes together. It is harder for her having to watch that

to. I will ask her a few questions and maybe I can help you with a few

answers. Hang in there. The cost of prescriptions is amazing to me still -

I know it shouldn't be by now after this past year or so but come on how can

we afford to get and stay well? Hope the organization MAP can help you I

have never heard of that maybe it is a local group in your area only. Your

in our prayers!!

Hello Amy in Oregon

I'm Nanny in cold, snow bound Michigan. I'm unable to work anymore but I

remember the days of working and trying to raise a family. It's very hard to

try to take care of your self when there is so much to do.

Don't blame the P or PA on the vacation you probably just slowed down

enough for it to catch up! All kidding aside we don't know what causes this

stuff but you will surely find the friendship and support here. We'd like to

hear from you weather it's a good day or bad one. Sure as the dickens

someone will be feeling the same way as you.

Mine seems to be dropping to. It is now at 114.

Lyra,

It is my opinion that you should stay on them for as long as you are

continually exhibiting symptoms. The whole " Post Lyme syndrome " is a

myth....if you still have symptoms then you still have an active infection.

Just my opinion. I would err ont he side of caution and find a LLMD ASAP b/c

it sounds like your duck is " Old School " .

I am having a similar problem. I've been doing ok

until the past few weeks or so, I have about 12 weeks

to go. I have a toothache which probably isn't

helping, but I really feel lousy. I don't think I'm

going to last the day at work today. -dz-

Did you get a rash and then get diangosed right away? 5 bands is

rare..

I think u herxed from the abx. Your lyme has just moved to a new

apartment: your hands and feet. Now that your not on drugs symptoms

will get worse. Are you on any special diet? what symptoms presented

to get u to a doc initially - i am curious about your history. you can

email me privately if you like, or post here. just my 2 cents..

Hi - I didn't have the best of luck with MTX - It made me sick to my

stomach, so I started injecting it instead, which was no big deal and helped the

stomach - you might ask about it. The shots really don't hurt.

But as far as the tiredness and soreness, I never really did get full relief. I

was able to keep working and definitely it did help bring down a major flare,

but I never had full remission. I'm on enbrel now, and we shall see.

Anyway, about the housework, kids, college, etc. The worst thing for the pain

is stress - try not to take on too much. Do what you want to do, but don't over

do it. You can always ask for help with housework or live in a house that would

embarass Martha (so what? you won't be reported :)) I went back to

college as an adult and had a BLAST! But it is a lot of pressure, so try it out

slowly if you can.

Good luck - keep posting and keep us up to date on how things are going.

I've been on meth about 4 years. It did absolute wonders for my P (until

this past month when I'm experiencing a flare for the 1st time since

starting the meth). However, it has never helped my PA.....Sorry! However,

luckily I've not had any adverse side effects from it. The only drawback I

find is the liver biopsy every 2 years.

Hang in there...you have many things to try.
