It was an extra work day for my hubby at home and my

day was spent washing clothes and cooking for the elder son who

was home for the long weekend to meet a couple of single girls

from California visiting their grandparents in Texas.

It was over 112 degrees F. in the shade on our porch today...

much too hot for me to be outside for more than a few minutes

at a time. My poor garden is so sad looking; the trees have

already shed most of their leaves due to the dry heat.

Forest fires are still raging, contributing to the discomfort for

everyone, especially those who must work to control them and

even worse for those who lost their homes to them.

But it's so enjoyable to watch the wildlife that come to eat/drink ---

the deer seem to watch from the woods' edge for when

the corn is put out; the birds come within a few minutes of

my putting out their sunflower seeds, crumbled bread and water.

The hummingbirds are so feisty! An older one watches the feeder

and tries to chase away all others that try to get a sip of sugar

water. It's so interesting to watch their antics.

Hi Diane,

Work. My sister owns a very large estate here in a resort, I first

came here to redecorate and stayed to manage/administer it. It's

really cool, I live on the ocean, which has been an incredible

healing experience. My son is 14 and goes to an American School (we

call American becasue you have to speak English to go there) but

really, it's based on the British School system, excecellent but very

tough. He's getting a better educ here than he ever would have in the

states. I do get Island fever and the shopping (for clothes & such)

stinks, but it's getting more Americanized everyday. Much more than

it was 3 years ago. Anyway, there you have it!

Got those huggs Diane and appreciate them. We didn't do anything today either. I stayed in bed most of the day. My daughter Kristy has made me jello knowing how my throat is. She is so sweet. I kinda blew a fuse today with her over spilling something and I felt like a real A_ _ and I apologized to her and hugged her. I told her I didn't feel good and was fussy. She understood.We are both having some adjustments to make but it is well worth it and long deserved. HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!!!!!

That's it. I had someone tell me once I was nosey and I looked at them and said " And damn proud of it too". Without inquiries where would the world be. I don't stick my nose where it doesn't belong(well sometimes) and I stay to myself(mostly) so I can't say I am nosey. I am an Aries and live life on the edge and am very curious about many things. Diane does this sound familiar???? hahaha

Good Morning Everyone,

I am going to the Dr. today for the Calcification in the stomach

Aorta..... Wish me luck. I am going all alone as usual. I just know the

final outcome will be good..... I am only going to my primary so I don't

expect much today.... Strange how things work... If I didn't break my

ankle and mess up my back worse this may have went undetected for God

knows how long.....

Short story: I have a little black cat and whenever I hurt she

doesn't leave my side. She actually pushes her head into my stomach and

takes her little paws and keeps pawing my stomach like she is trying to

dig something out. She has been doing this for over a year.. She as a

stray and only weighed 1 1/2 lbs. when I found her freezing to death.

Half of her little nose is gone due to the infection she had when I

found her... I found her 4 yrs. ago and believe me I wasn't looking for

a cat. She is so close to me.... Never leaves my side..... Sleeps on my

tummy when I am in pain..... It is like she is my physic cat.... My

Doberman died the year before I found boo boo kitty and she was the same

way with me.....
