Guest guest
That's fantastic! I'm so happy for you and your son! My son who is 5 years old will be 6 in May said his first word. He said his brothers name "Tom". He drags the o a little but it was clear. He has said it more than once today. When ever he wants his brother to come help him with his video game he says Tooom. It is so cute. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I am so happy. It has taken years of hard work for him to come this far. We have done so much biomedical and other therapies for so long. It is so wonderful to finally get a WOW! This group has helped so so much. I have been posting on here for years and have gotten so much help from you guys. I am so grateful to all the other mom's and dad's who have helped my little guy get healthier and happier through the years. I just wanted to share my happiness with people who really understand what this means to us. Nonie

Guest guest
WOW! That is incredible and I am so happy for you and your son! I have been quietly reading this post for a few weeks now and I'm so happy to say this is my first post! I pray you see continued success. What wonderful news! Perhaps it touches me so because I also have two sons. The oldest's name is Tom, as well. (Tom is PDD) And just like your little guy, my youngest constantly calls out for big brother's help with his video games. That is beautiful and I couldn't be more happy for you and your family!!!!! Guest guest
Thanks for sharing this,I don't really post much on this site, I am new to it. I had to comment on your post and to tell you I am so happy for you and your little boy. My son is 3 1/2 ASD and is nonverbal speaking 3 words, I know this feeling my son regressed at 2 and had around 8 or more words and lost them all until now he will sometimes say , mom, da and sis but never really calls us them when he needs us, still waiting for him to do this. Guest guest
Hi Nonie That is fantastic news, my son who is 5 years old has just started saying words, although he works better under pressure, yesterday he woke up early and i had to take my eldest daughter to work at 6am, usually he stays in bed and my younger daughter listens out for him, well we got home and had breakfast, then about 7am the tears started and with that came the word beeeeeeed!! several times, his early morning had already started catching up with him. Also at the weekend he went to go and get my youngest daughters lap top from her room (he likes playing the car theory test disc, it is like he is sat in the car or driving) well it was early so my daughter was none to please about being woken up (teenagers!) so she ushered him out and locked the door, he then started shouting from the top of his lungs, "door"!! It is so wonderful to hear his voice more and more, like you i have worked so hard over the last year and 5 months to get him where he is today, although he is still way off from being recovered he is a totally different boy than he was back then. It's always great to hear other parents success stories, keep up the good work and keep us all posted on the progess. in UK xxx >> My son who is 5 years old will be 6 in May said his first word.
I just wanted to share my happiness with people who really understand what this means to us.> Nonie> Do you want a Hotmail account?
