Maybe a dumb question? you say it works on your son in about 15 minutes or so, how can you tell that it is working? Does it cause a bowel movement or what?? Just want to know what to expect if I do decide to try it. Would first thing in the morning on an empty stomach be a good option?

hmmm. 2 hours after. My doctor told us we can do it at least an hour after everything at the end of the night and I normally give it to my son (21 months) in a bottle of milk. He's still waking up though at night and I was wondering if I should give it to him earlier in the night then his last things are his cell max and probiotics...

So why 2 hours after? Should I be doing that????

I think some people say one hour but most do two hours to be sure, the probiotics are so expensive and would be awful if they got mopped up by the charcoal too.My son is also still waking up in the night, i have been told 1am is yeast 3am is liver - we are fighting yeast so i am (at the minute) using 1 x charcoal but i am going to increase to 2 and also increase his milk thistle to support his live more. Hi everyone. Things got pretty bad today with what I believe is die-off. I didn't give the Oil of Oregano today just because I was afraid that it was bothering her stomach like your posts stated. She just started the unconsolable crying, screaming, smacking at her private area etc. etc. so I went ahead and gave her a capsule of the charcoal. It has been a good 3.5 hours since she has had any supps. Can anyone tell me what the after effects might be of giving the charcoal???? I am not sure what to expect if anything. Having a rough day, appreciate any input.

I called the pediatrician and told them I wanted a UA/C & S script for Kara. I am going to collect her urine in the a.m. As far as the yeast goes, my pediatrician will not even consider treating it. If this keeps up I guess I will have to call our DAN. Any input on what to expect after giving the characoal?\

does your child have yeast? if it's die off it can cause the yeast to come out from her private. My son gets it out on his behind and his nose also. the charcoal pretty much goes right through the body... could cause gas, the poop would/might be black. It should work right away. some kids can't take the whole capsule at once either. If you see she can't tolerate it maybe try giving it half in the day half at night.

If the stools aren't black does that mean it wasn't effective? I gave her 1 capsule = 260mg, I opened the capsule and added it to about 3 oz water. I will tell you one thing, the stimming and hyperactivity is terrible right now. She is even spinning which I haven't seen in a long time. She is trying to chew on cardboard and paper towels like they are gum!!!! I think this is going to be a late night....Any thoughts??
