I am very annoyed, again this afternoon, my blood sugar was 144, and has not

come down, I have not ate anything in hours, and have been to the gym and

home... all I had this afternoon was a no sugar added weight watchers smoothie,

and 10 raw carrots.

I am not over eatting, I am sticking to about 1200 callories at the most, I am

balancing my foods and I am working out, and eatting at the same times... I am

doing all the right things

Thanks ... it feels good to be getting some tighter control.

Now I just have to keep it up for 3 months so my next a1c is down and my doctor

is pleased!

Not to mention my wife!

Thanks Brett. You have been helping me quite a bit!

Oh and same for Dave, I know you stopped posting your readings now Dave but was

great watching you, , Jen, Pat, and any others I may be forgetting.

I don't know about you guys, but it helps me to see other folks readings and to

post my numbers to all of you. It helps me be accountable.

The other day when I ate 3 bowls of cereal I found myself wanting to lie and

just post that I ate veggies and healthy meats. I paused for a moment and said

is this why I am here on list? To lie? No way! I am here to get support from my

friends who are in the same battle. So I posted the truth and everyone stepped

up and started encouraging me and that helped me regain my focus and get back on

track.

Let me encourage everyone here on list that is participating in this... or are

considering participating... no matter what you eat, no matter what you run,

post it. We are here to encourage one another and help one another in this

fight!

Regards,

Hi,

Okay, previously mentioned breakfast, so post breakfast was 6.2.

For lunch I was 4.7 and had Pumpkin soup and estimated at 20 crams as it was

made with a bit of potato. Had 4 units and post lunch reading was 11.1 so have

had one unit to correct since I should still have some onboard insulin.

This comes back to estimating carbs, I should have taken notice since last night

after dinner was a bit high, I should have been a bit more aggressive with the

insulin at lunch today.

Cheers,

Brett.

your blood sugar results

Ok all, this morning my blood sugar was 370. I am not kidding.

Last evening prior to my post I had a meal with pasta and I had to dose quite

a bit of humalog to cover it. At my two hour post, I was dropping low so had to

eat a decent amount of glucose which in turn, over the night as I slept, caused

me to spike to 370 so I won't be eating anything until I break the high.

So, I dosed enough humalog to come down and am drinking water. Water helps our

cells be more receptive to insulin and helps break highs.

Never eat when you are high since it just feeds the high sugar, break the

high, then eat healthy meats and healthy veggies.

Hi ,

Pretty much water mashed Pumpkin Barley and beef stock. However, the misses put

some potato in it so the kids would eat it. Normally it's quite good on the

blood sugars, not so sure about this batch with the potato, at least it's the

last of it tonight. I am 5.3 before eating it and am kind of dreading the post

reading. Tonight I have dosed 5 units, hoping this will cover it.

Cheers,

Brett.
