Guest guest
Thanks , I have been a yo-yo dieter for a long, long time. It used to work in the past, but the same thing happened to me as everyone else. Now that I've been on the BFL plan, I'd hate to see me fail with this small setback. This forum is really great. It really gives me the motivation to keep going. Thanks again, > Welcome! > > No I don't think you'll mess up by listening to your body when you're sick. > Just try to keep your eating clean and you should feel no ill-effects by > skipping a workout or two while you rest and get better. > > Hope it goes away soon! > > in WI >
Guest guest
Ok, here comes advice from the admitted slave driver. I have found that when I have a bad cold with no other aches, working out actually helps clear my sinuses without the aid of OTC medications. If you don't " feel " bad and the cold is merely annoying it might actually help to go ahead and work out. The thing I hate the most about colds is you can't taste anything. Of course the good side of that is if you hate cottage cheese or something you might be able to do your muscles a favor and eat it when you can't taste it. Stasia > I am new to BFL. Guest guest
Thanks, Stasia, I took your advice and did a hardcore 20 min. of cardio today. Wow what a headrush! But you were right--I felt much better (once I caught my breath!). It really did work! Thanks again, > Ok, here comes advice from the admitted slave driver. Guest guest
Oh Cherie my dear- I'm so sorry to hear that you got a cold. Perhaps this is your body's way of telling you that it isn't ready to go back to work yet. Body's have a funny way of telling us what they need, as you well know. Sorry to hear about your nerve pain. Dr. Huang precribed the same thing for my nerve pain, it does help. The B vitamins take a little time to start working. Dr. Huang also told me that I'd probably have a lot of ups and downs after the explant, and then it will even out to all ups. Hang in there! I'll be thinking and praying for you! Take care of yourself! Love, Krista ps. You gonna do the The Makers Diet with PH and I?! Come on!! January 1st, it's on! > > Hi Ladies, > > I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down with a terrible > cold. Guest guest
Hang in there Cherie and rest. I haven't had a cold for ages either but I started to feel like I was getting one after getting home from IL. I sort of wanted one so that my body can actually learn to fight something other than itself - get my mind off of being sick with the unknown. Hugs, Lynn Bad cold Hi Ladies,I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down with a terrible cold. I think that traveling after surgery and trying to go right back to work did me in. I think I've been doing too much. Hopefully can make it back to work tomorrow. I have not a had cold in a couple of years. I also have a horrible nerve pain in my right thigh that has developed. Called at Dr. Huang's today and she's got me on Aleve, vitamin B 6 and vitamin 12 and see if that helps. I had that exact pain about a year and half ago when I tried to work out with a Nordac Track and that pain developed, so I stopped using the Nordac Track and the pain went away. I guess the lipo brought it back. Hope it heals, it's an awful pain! It's a pulling, burning and throbbing pain. Yuk!Good luck ladies on the Maker's Diet..its tuff! Guest guest
Hi Krista, I'm glad you mentioned that it takes the Vitamin B a while to kick in, I had a lot of thigh pain again yesterday. I went back to work yesterday. I am hanging in there, I can hardly talk (really hoarse) and nasty cough. I have a big teacher meeting for my daughter today (speech therapst, principal, occupational therapist and regular teacher). I will have to take something so I so not blow snot all over everyone...LOL! I have not has this bad of a cold in years......! Not what I needed right after surgery. So everyone who see's your " my space " says your cute? I do not have a my space but may I visit it? Whats your link? I don't do " my space " , keeps my ex from knowing my business. He had one for all long time and me and everyone in his family knew all the stuff we weren't suppose to know. He has since gotten rid of it. You don't owe people money and then have your new girlfriend post all the stuff we spend our money on...like trips and fancy dinners....oops! He' not real bright.... Diet January 1st.....probably not! I am taking one day at a time. I kinda had plans for after surgery......but got sick. I really do not like to plan things. I've learned in the last few years...you can plan all you want.....but may not happen. I believe that God has plans for me (I do not really know what they are mind you) but he changes my course on a constant basis, so....I don't really plan anymore. I will go on the yeast diet however, I have no idea when. Good luck to you guys. I was on it a few months back. I actually gained weight. I ate a lot of nuts and boy did that put some weight on me. It's hard.....good luck! Hugs to you! Cherie > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down with a > terrible > > cold. Guest guest
Thanks Lynn, Trust me girlfriend....you don't want this cold! It's awful! I can hardly talk today (of course I have a teacher meeting today for my daughter) and a nasty cough. Seems my body is taking it sweet time fighting it off or it's just a nasty virus. Ya know the virus's of today seem to get nastier and nastier. Keep yourself well! Hugs to you! Guest guest
Cherie- Hope all is going well today with the teacher meetings...I'll be thinking about you! That stinks that you got a nasty cold! Did I already tell you to make sure and drink LOTS of liquids and up your vitamin C, and get plenty of rest. That should kick it in no time. I've been very tired lately....still! I don't think I'm sleeping that well at night though. I think I'm worrying and stressing about my health which is giving me anxiety, which makes me not sleep, which makes things worse. I feel like I'm in a vicous cycle...augh! That's funny about my myspace. Here is the link to it if you want to see what I look like: http://www.myspace.com/kristaschell That's crazy that your ex-husband had a myspace! What an idiot! But, if you are ever interested in joining in, you can always put your myspace on private, that way only the friends that you have on your myspace can view your profile. You ex-husband and anyone else you don't want seeing it, wouldn't be able to. But, anyway. No biggie about the makers diet. I just wanted everyone to know that they were more then welcome to join in with PH and I in doing it in January. I'm looking forward to having someone to do it with. I'm really interested in giving it a shot and seeing what it's all about and seeing if I do feel better. I've always had a hard time gaining weight, so I'm hoping that I do....even just 5 pounds would be nice. I have so many digestive issues, and if this solves them, then I will be very excited. Well, I hope you are feeling better soon. Is the aleve helping the nerve pain at all? I hope so. Love, Krista > > > > Oh Cherie my dear- I'm so sorry to hear that you got a cold. > Perhaps > > this is your body's way of telling you that it isn't ready to go > back > > to work yet. Guest guest
Krista....OH MY GOSH! You are cute and that hubby of yours....wow! Your one lucky girl! No wonder you found him a week! You two look like you go together! I think I may be toooo old now to found someone cute like that. I'm 42 already. I had seen cute on Match.com but they didn't like me. Like I said before....I'm a geek magnet! Ya know, I have tried everthing, I changed my hair, hair color, got new teeth, boobs and lost 80 pounds....still had no luck. Oh well, may not in the cards for me. Having a child with austism doesn't help either. Still sick and lonely. Boy....sure didn't need this cold! Sorry....things are still looking bleek in that area. Thanks for giving me the link! You have a cute " space " . Don't worry honey....you'll have a baby! You two a a great looking couple and I see great things happing for you two! I understand vicious cycles. I had it going on before explant. That at least is getting better for me. So keep positive, it'll happen for you too. Your doing something about it....it'll happen. Try to do something about your stress. What I am doing right now is justing letting everything just " be " . I'm learning there's nothing about I can, so let it " be " . I have no idea why I got soooo sick, but nothing I can do but just get thru it and let it be. Now mind you, that can be hard to do, we all have things we " want " but I'm so use to not getting what I want....I just give it to God. I may not always like his plan....but there is nothing I can do about it. My slogan is " just let it go " . I am so tired of stressing about things. I'm sure you are too! Hugs to you! Cherie > > > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > > > > > I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down with a > > > terrible > > > > cold. Guest guest
Ahhh, thanks Cherie. You guys are so sweet to me. The hubby is pretty damn cute, huh?! I told you he was! The first time I saw a picture of him, I said to myself " holy cow! " Then when I met him, I knew that second I could never let him out of my life again. I sure hope we have babies, we hoped to be pregnant right now...that was the plan. But, like you said my plan doesn't always line up with God's plan. Perhaps, next year will be my year! Cherie- Your guy is coming....I just know it! Once you are healed up and healthy, I know God will bring him into your life. I'm just sure of it! Then, when hubby and I come out to California to see the fam, we will go on a double date with you and your guy! Wouldn't that be a hoot?! I sure hope the vicious cycles stop. The digestive issues and anxiety are sure getting the best of me now. I think worrying is really really bad for me...it causes the digestive issues to be worse, it causes anxiety, then I can't sleep which just perpetuates the problem! I think in a few months, this will all be better. But, right now I'm just frustrated with all of it! Yes, I'm tired of stressing too. Stress sure takes it toll on the body, doesn't it? I'm sure with your immune system not at it's best after your surgery, the travel, the stress led to the cold. But like I said, it might just be your body's way of telling you to slow down and it isn't ready to go back to work yet. Just take care of yourself for now. I like your new motto " just let it go. " Can you add to that " and let God? " Then the new motto can say " Just let it go, and let God. " I like that. Take care of yourself! Love, Krista > > > > > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > > > > > > > I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down with a > > > > terrible > > > > > cold. Guest guest
Hey Krista, Yes, I can change my motto! It worked today as a matter of fact, I've been praying for some help for my daughter and the meeting for her went great today. There were 8 of us there. Special needs kids get annual meetings with everyone who works with them. Even My daughters representive from the state program was there. I have been having problems with my daughter hitting herself. She has a lack of speech and it causes frustration. We are going to try and channel her to express her frustations in other ways. I'll be getting the help I need in order to handle her. THANK GOD there's help for us parents with special needs kids! You should have heard me though....I'm so hoarse and rhaspy. I sound like I'm on my death bed! Ya know, I think your hubby kinda looks like Matt Damon? Actually he's cuter then Matt. Yeah, if I would have showed up on a date with a man who looks like him.....I would never let him out of my life either! I just don't know if I'll be up for joining anymore on-line dating services. I began to hate it. But for now, I'm still praying for God to bring my guy to my door..........it doesn't hurt to ask! LOL! What kind of digestive problems are you having? That was my main problem with my implant illness. I was even told once that I had delayed stomach empyting....that went away. I must say, between having the implants removed and taking Threelac, mine has gotten much, much better. I haven't had to take even one Gas-x and I use to live on them! Do you have a lot of gas or are you constipated? Guest guest
Cherie- The last part of your post cracked me up. Only with you guys will I talk about gas and constipation!! Too funny! I've never had a problem with constipation, never with gas either actually. My biggest problem is the big D! I used to be that certain foods would give me the big D. I had it pretty well narrowed down to dairy, spicy foods and some other things. Then, in the last couple of months I've been waking up every morning with the big D and nausea. It's almost like foods just go right on through me. Right now, I'm taking an enzyme that was recommended from the lady that did my foot bath, she did a muscle test on me to see which enzyme is right for me, then I'm also taking the caprylic acic, and grape seed extract. I'm hoping that these things help. She told me I might feel a little worse at first before I feel better. I've been taking the enzymes since Saturday. I'm sure hoping these things do the trick! I'm so glad to hear that you got good news about your daughter, and that she is going to get the help she needs. See, prayer DOES work and God IS on your side. It might not always seem that way because sometimes things don't happen as we want them to, but they are always for a reason, and other things will fall into place for you at the right time. I just know it! Actually, the actor you are thinking of that my hubby looks like is Mark Wahlberg (Marky Mark.) He gets it ALL the time. PH couldn't figure out the actor either, but when I told her she saw the resemblance. He does look a little like Matt Damon too though. You don't have to join online dating again if you're not interested. I have a feeling you aren't going to meet your guy on the internet anyway. It's going to be a random hook-up from friends or a meet him somewhere random, that's my prediction! Feel better soon! Love, Krista > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I didn't make it back to work today, I have come down > with > > a > > > > > > terrible > > > > > > > cold. Guest guest
Lynn,How much Primal Defense you are you taking, how often. Did you take an antifungal first?I think the stomach ache is because you need it so badly. You might try something milder for a while . . . How about Acidopholis? . .. Kefir? ThreeLac?Eventually you should be able to handle it.Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
Steph ~ I am glad you are getting back to your normal routine. That will help occupy you and give your body a sense of what is normal routine for it. It is still adjusting to the amputation, and reduced toxic load. Your body has to not only recognise the change, it has to re-program itself, and it will be working on that until you get yourself detoxed and adjusted to the new you. I believe you will be healthier than ever because you are living a much healthier health style, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Look at Rogene, Patty, and Lynda, with the exeption of setbacks do to over doing it, accidents, or indulging in foods or activities that create challenges, they are very active and living healthy full lives....they have figured out how to rebound from veering off the health trail, so they can veer off occasionally. Would you mind writing your story about your breast implant journey to put on Ilena's site? We would love for you to do so. Guest guest
Hi Krista, Yeah, your hubby does look like Mark Wahlberg! You really are a blessed girl! Trust me..... Ya know, your going to have cute kids!! Sorry about the big D. That is not something I had very often. I sure hope it clears up soon for you. I wish I had some advice for you, I was in hopes of being able to recommend something for ya. I am taking enzymes too. I take Essential Enzymes by Source Natural. They seem to work. Ya know, I've been good, eating good, taking my organic vitamins, Threelac, enzymes, vitamin C and have been resting as much as I can.....and I'm still sick with this nasty cold. It's day 5. I guess it justs takes a long time for things to work. Keep at what your doing, hopefully you will see relief from the big D and nausea soon. Patience is apparently the key.... Are you cutting out sugar while you take the caprylic acid? Hope your prediction on my love laugh is right. Something's gotta give..... Have a great day! Guest guest
Hi Krista, Sorry about the big D. I'm overall feeling ok, just mad about my hair shedding all over the place! I wish it would stop. I'm back to work too now so I don't have too much time to worry about it. At least going to work takes my mind off of things. How are you feeling overall, besides the big D and nausea? Steph
