Guest guest
Hi Krista, Sorry you're dealing with that...annoying isn't it? I had that pre- explant for 5 months and then for 2-3 months post explant. Feels like you've been run over by a truck. Corvalen helped as well as just time and maybe some of the detoxing...I was doing so much in the beginning that I really don't know what specifically contributed to it. It just gradually went away. Sounds like you're doing the right things and I'm sure yours will resolve in time too. I really think the surgery drugs do a number on us and it takes a while to detox that. Hang in there. Guest guest
Krista, My heart just aches to here this. Nobody should go around feeling like they have the flu all the time. Gosh I just got over a bad cold and had some of that aching in the beginning. Im really worried for you but honestly I think it will pass. What PH said makes sence and she said hers went away 2-3 months after. I really hope you can get over this. I can see its frustrating you because you are happy with your explant and now want to bounce back to good health. I dont think your going to have this much longer though I can feel it takinga turn for the better real soon. Just MHO, You are young and planning your future babies.. Dont worry I think you will come around. Im gonna pray you do soon. Guest guest
Rogene- For awhile I thought it was fibromyalgia. I really thought I had a combination of FM and CFS. However, I'm just not so sure that's what it is anymore, because it doesn't necessarily feel like muscle pain. I've had a lot of muscle pain in my life (I was a cheerleader for 10 years, lots of muscle aches!) But, this seems to be a much different pain then that. It is more of an achiness, like when you have the stomach flu. Nothing seems to trigger it or make it feel better either. But, I do like your advice, so I am going to try all of that....stretching, massage, hot baths, etc. Thanks so much, you always have the best advice! :-) Love, Krista > > Krista, > > Fibro means Muscle . .. myalgia means Pain . . . Guest guest
PH- How did I know you'd be able to relate?! :-) I'm glad to hear someone else had this problem, not that I like to hear you had to do with it too, just that I'm glad to have someone to talk to. I've had it for about 9 months now, it got better for awhile, then got really bad a few months before my explant (funny timing, huh?) Yes, it totally feels like I've been run over by a truck. I think I can deal with it for a few months, it is good to know that yours went away after a few months. You're right, it got really bad right after surgery. It's like surgery just shook my body up so bad and I've been in a lot of pain since. Hardly any pain in my breasts, which I am thankful for, but just the all-over achiness. I feel like an old lady! I think I will try the Covalen. Did you use any aleve, tylenol or ibuprofen? That seems to help get me through the day, but I don't want to be putting those in my body constantly if they are going to make things worse long term. thanks for the advice! Guest guest
You are so sweet, Jenn. Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I am SO ready to feel better. I've felt bad for nearly a year now and am ready to have my life back! It is hard waiting! Thanks for thinking about me, that means a lot! Guest guest
Hi Krista, For me it was like you described...a weird kind of pain, not the kind of burning from working out, but a strange ache. OTC products didn't work for me and after learning that our bodies are overly toxed, I tried to stay away from anything unnatural. Dr. Kolb said I had FM at pre-op but when I started reading about it later it didn't really seem to fit. I did a lot of Epsom salt baths in the beginning. Seriously, I think it's just a matter of time. Not to diminish what you're feeling because I know we all feel like total crap, but be thankful that it's your biggest concern. For me it was the first symptom to disappear and it's taking longer for the vision, fatigue and brain function to get back on track. That makes me think you'll recover sooner! Love, PH > > > > > > Hey Everyone- I know this has probably already been discussed, but I > > > just wanted to get a feel for who has suffered with all-over body > > > pain, and what you did to help ease the pain. > > > I've been suffering with this for about the last 9 months. Guest guest
PH- I took one Epsom salt bath pre-explant and I thought I was going to DIE! It made the pain much worse and made getting through the evening unbearable! Right now, I'm in pain, but at least I can get to sleep okay without it keeping me up all night. So, I'm really hesitate to do the epsom salt again, plus I don't think you are supposed to take a bath for a month after surgery because of the sutures. Anyway, I hope for me, it is one of the first things to disappear, because it's my biggest source of frustration. The fatigue I feel I can deal with, I just make sure and get a lot of sleep! The brain fog is getting MUCH better, thank goodness! Thanks again! Guest guest
Krista, I'm sorry that you feel sick. After I did the foot bath yesterday I felt really sick, and I was actually feeling pretty good yesterday before doing it. Last night I felt really achy and tired. The aches went away but I still feel tired. I wish I would've waited until after Thanksgiving but I wanted to give it a try. I just wanted to let you know in case you try it that you could feel worse for a few days afterwards. Hang in there! I know I'm trying to and I know it's hard! Guest guest
Steph- Thanks for letting me know that you felt achy and tired afterward, that way I will know what to expect on Saturday. I was already pretty sure I'd feel worse afterward for a day or 2 because I had a reaction like that just when I did the Epsom salt bath. But, I almost feel like the aches and pains will be comforting in a strange sort of way because they I'll know the toxins are working out of my body! That is the most important thing for us right now, get all of that sh** out of our bodies! :-) Love, Krista > > > > Hey Everyone- I know this has probably already been discussed, but I > > just wanted to get a feel for who has suffered with all-over body > > pain, and what you did to help ease the pain. > > I've been suffering with this for about the last 9 months. Guest guest
You need lots mote, 2000 mg of D a day and more calcium and magnesium, twice the calcium as magnesium. Guest guest
2000 mg of D!!! The bottle says 400 I.U. How does that equate to mg? I'm really lacking then. I always get sick if I take too many vitamins so I have to be real careful. I don't know if those mg go on body size (or if that even matters,) but I weigh only 100 pounds. Should I double up on my multi-vitamin? Guest guest
Steph- Sounds like we are in the same boat. PH is little like us too. She weighed only 88 pounds when she had her explant! She is up to 100 pounds now. I know, it is scary. Especially, when all the nurses and doctors look at you funny when you get on the scale. I always feel like saying " WHAT!, what do you want me to do?! " It gets very frustrating! Making sure I get enough calories has been very important through all of this, I try to eat something small at least every hour, even if it's just an apple. Also, try to eat healthy fats....avocados, nuts, I think PH said something about coconut milk. Also, since I started eating so many fruits and veggies, I go #2 about 3 times a day now! I keep telling my hubby, I feel like everything is going right through me! AUGH! It's a fine balance, isn't it? I feel for ya. Guest guest
Hi Krista and Stephie, I can relate totally. It's rough isn't it...when I was first having digestive probs and losing weight my ignorant GI guy automatically assumed I was anorexic. I kept telling him no, I'm worried because I'm eating twice what my 210 pound husband eats and still losing weight. Even though I told him I was scared, he still kept acting like it was an eating disorder. Anyone who knows me knows that I've never been one to skimp on calories and have lived to eat! I'm only 5'2 " but I feel best when I'm about 102- 106 but never owned a scale. It's frustrating how people automatically jump to conclusions! Good that you're eating so healthy Krista and going so many times. Those toxins are moving right on out! Guest guest
Krista, The all-over pain you are experiencing is common, and it may take some time for it to go away. You can try the various suggestions people offer to help you cope, but the ultimate healer is the passing of time. As Rogene said, getting exercise every day is very important. I think you will find that after a daily walk you will feel significantly better. You might try keeping a journal to track your course of healing. It can help you see what helps and what hinders, as well as your improvement over time. When I'm not feeling so hot, I read some of my jounals from implant and soon-after-explant days, and boy, I can really see how far I've come. Back when I was really suffering, I used to carpet bomb this group with emails, desperate for relief, and everyone would patiently and kindly respond. It helped me greatly. You'll get there, Krista! Guest guest
Boy oh boy can I EVER relate to THAT!! My whole life I've been accused of having an eating disorder. It's only the people that are close to me and know me best, know that that is REALLY not the case! I've never had to watch a calorie in my life, and I NEVER have! I've always eaten what I wanted, when I wanted. Now of course, that has changed, I am much more careful about what I put in my body. I was even hospitalized for anorexia once when I was 16! I got depressed after my first love dumped me, I lost a bunch of weight and my Mom panicked, and brought me to a women's clinic, and the lady saw me for one second and told me I was anorexic. I tried to tell her I wasn't, but she automatically told my Mom I needed to be hospitalized. Once I got to the hospital, I was there for 3 days and they sent me home telling my parents and everyone else that I was NOT anorexic, that I was just depressed! Duh!!! My body just reacts to stress by losing weight, so I have to be really careful to make sure I am taking in extra calories when I am stressed. I'm glad to find others that can relate. I am 5'3 " , so I think I should weigh about 110. That is my goal over the next few months. Yes, indeed those toxins ARE moving out aren't they...hehehe. Guest guest
Lynda- Okay, I will get some extra D vitamins to take along with my multi-vitamin. No, I just looked at the bottle and it has additional crap in it. As soon as this bottle is done, I will look for one with additional vitamin D, calcium and magnesium that doesn't have extra crap in it. Thanks! ~Krista > > > > > > > > > > Krista ~ > > > > > Are you taking magnesium with calcium and D? > > > > > If so, how much? > > > > > Hugs Dede > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's > > > >hottest > > > > > products. > > > > > > > > > > >(<<http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-20 > > 07?NCID=aoltop00030000000001>http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-2007?NCID\ =aoltop00030000000001>http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-2007?NCID=aoltop\ 00030000000001) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks Bindi! I'm the one that feels like the carpet bomber now! Heheheh...But, I know I will soon be on the other side of this and will be able to help other women get through this, just like you guys are doing for me now! Love, Krista > > Krista, > The all-over pain you are experiencing is common, and it may take some time for it to go away. > Bindi >
Guest guest
Krista, You are very welcome. Most store brand multis are crap. We need all natural vitamins and minerals. Guest guest
When your digestive system is loaded with fungus, you can't get the nutrients from your food.. . . Same thing if you have Celiac disease . . . A friend was literally starving to death before they figured it out. Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
LOL Krista . . . Healthy eating doesn't mean low fat! . . . Just healthy fats! You're lucky you can have all the fats you want! My metabolism is so slow, I gain weight eating half what most people eat. Rogene
