Guest guest
, Well then, Country it is. (LOL) We could adulterate the entire Country theme by a little Kingston Trio couldn't we? Well, I guess Tom Dooley is sorta country huh? At any rate, the chicken is a getting ready to go for tomorrow night at 5:30 P.M. Cream puffs will be a cooking in the afternoon and I am going to fill them with real whipped cream. For the sake of good Diabetes control I will go to our Braums dairy store and get some really delicious low carb ice cream. I think there is only about 4 carbs in a half cup serving and, amazingly, the ice cream is really good. WE, of course, will have a nice salad beforehand and, for those who choose, Michelob does make a good low carb beer. Someone will have to tend to the low carb wine though. AS a matter of curiosity how many carbs in Scotch? (LOL) Cy, the nearly famished Ancient Okie... Re: QUICK CHICKEN AND STUFFING Cy, I'm sorry, my music collection doesn't go back that far! Guest guest
Billie, Don't sweat the small stuff. (LOL) I just happen to have a 16 inch cast iron pot which will make a pot of whatever to feed around 30 folks. I also have a 14 and a small 12 inch cast iron pot as well. Now, it is beginning to look to me like I really need to switch gears and go for some Country Style Pork Ribs which I can easily do on my gas grill. I can whip out enough to feed around 75 or so folks if needed. Well, now wait a minute, perhaps I will still go with chicken breasts which are soaked in my secret marinade and then brazed and grilled. Man, they are good! I figure about 25 or so pounds should do the trick. Also looks like a wonderful time is going to be had by all. God bless each of you and please do have a very wonderful and safe Labor Day... Guest guest
I knew you would be terrified, (LOL) Now, interestingly, once upon a time my wife made clown suits for all 12 children as well as her and I for a Labor Day parade in the little town we lived in. She even made a ruffle for Sloan, my Guide Dog. WE marched in the parade 2 years and everyone outgrew their suits and Barb was not motivated to do it again. (LOL) Anyway, don't forget that food will be on the table at 5:30 P.M. on my deck... See you then. (LOL) Cy, the Ancient Okie... Re: QUICK CHICKEN AND STUFFING Any preferences to what kind of music?
