I asked the guy who has my cowshare, because he attends the meetings

of the local chapters. I also asked a local chapter leader. They

both knew the same doctor, because he happens to be a co-leader of

another local chapter of WAPF.

I think you just have to keep asking around. It took me a long time

to find him.

does that too sometimes. Had him all checked out & he gets a complete

physical every year. I just give him a tylenol & he's go to go.

Take care,Betty

has done this for years and it really grates on

my nerves. I don't understand why he has these

" episodes " of an ache or pain. They are pretty much

the same over and over and we've had him checked, but

now and then he'll come up with a new one. Used to be

an avoidance issue, but there are days when I really

don't know if it's something or not. They normally go

away on their own with no further discussion until the

next time it shows up.

I know kids with AS feel things sometimes at a

magnification than most people, but I just don't get

it. We discovered he has a bit of reflux, so we manage

what he eats to minimize they symptoms of that because

he is afraid he's having heart problems. He aways

claims his heart hurts. We had him checked, and his

heart is fine. It was just reflux. We figured it was,

but he had to have the doctor's confirmation to

believe it.

Today's issue was his muscle under his collarbone.

First day of P.E. for awhile. He thinks he needs to go

to the doctor's. Then he says, " If it's still hurting

tomorrow, I think I need to go to the doctor. " Most

of the time we can come up with a possible reason for

his ache/pain and he will believe it and it will go

away.

He is fine otherwise. He moves around with no effort.

He said he could barely lift his arms today. (Casey's

had her collarbone broken, so I know the symptoms of a

fractured collarbone.) But he's been running around

here and doing everything-including picking up his

baby brother, Zachary who probably weighs close to 10

pounds now, so he seems fine here. He's forgotten all

about the pain.

I know he has a project due next week and exams coming

up the 22nd-25th. So I don't know if it's an avoidance

issue or anxiety because of getting the project done

and the exams coming up. But it drives me nuts

sometimes. I don't get why he does this. Where the

" symptoms " come from. I know he believes they are real

and he feels something and it's more than what we

would feel. But then he focuses on it and it

escalates.

Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks,

and later was told by someone else I

looked like I was 27! Go figure!)

Are you in my house listening to my just-turned-6 yos?? ;)

We've seen a doctor several times -- we usually say 'rest for 20

minutes, if it still hurts, we'll talk Tylenol' or something. Sometimes

it goes away, sometimes it doesn't. We had blood tests run for arthritis

(which runs in the family) and I'm probably going to talk to the neuro

when we go next about the headaches, as he does seem to really be having

them more often than I think he should be. His 11 yo sister has had

migraines for 6 years now, and has grand mal seizures aka seizure

disorder. I also get migraines, so it worries me but it's so hard to tell.

My boys (18) complain of stomach aches all the time. I have found that they

will just say their stomach hurts and I have to question them: Do you have

diarrhea?, gas pains (pooting),have you eaten? They can't seem to tell

exactly why they are hurting, just that they are hurting and both of them

complain of headaches often.Same thing with that. One will say I have a

migraine ( I have them too) and they will be playing loud video games with

flashing characters and I'm thinking if you have a migraine you can't sit

there with that loud music and flashing, you would be laying down in a

dark, quiet room. I think the main thing with my boys is that they know they

are hurting they just don't know how to explain why or KNOW why...Also my

kids complain of stomach aches and headaches when something (tests) is going

on at school or if n is just too overwhelmed by " going " to school , he

will say he has to stay home because he has a bad headache. In other words,

I don't have any answers for you... Sorry :) Just that we have ailments

here just about everyday... Toni

My daughter was always like this before starting the gfcf diet and

still a little now. At 5 she can tell me where it is and I

identified that she gets heartburn, stomach gas, and headaches. She

sometimes can eat some nitrates but other times gets headaches. The

heartburn would be from something her body can not deal with that I

have not identified yet. Before the diet she had a bloated belly

all the time and constipation. She was always burping and crying in

pain. When I removed milk she immediately stopped being constipated

and complained of less stomach pain. Also food dyes cause headaches

and stomach pain in some people.

THANKS, I'll do my best to keep them away from gluten and stuff but they are

both hooked on caffeine, pdoc knows this and it calms them down whereas it

would make me jittery. Had I known all this when they were younger it would

be easier to start the gfcf diet :( As it is, I'm doing good to get them to

eat much of " other " foods and take their meds daily... Mine rarely " do " milk

products, an occasional yogurt. I'll see if next time they eat milk products

they get a tummy ache...

Ditto

I am suffering terribly from pain at the mo and it is all adrenal,

starts usually about 5 or 6 days after my dose was raised. OUCHY

Other symptoms definately point to adrenals. So needing more support

methinks and had to go back down on my Armour.

Take care and good luck with those adrenals, please let me know if

your pains ease off.

HI Dawn

Remind us what you are taking for your adrenals, how long you have been taking it and when was your last increase/decrease? Are you taking whatever you are on a regular basis - and do you increase at the same time as you try to increase Armour - or before.

Hi Shiela

I had to go to 'on demand' with hc cream as it was making my numb

emotionally (like an automaton) and in 15mg was still hard for me to

be accurate measuring as it leaked out into my bag from the syring so

I started doing it when I felt anxious.

I reverted to ACE 4 times a day BIOMAX which was quite good but when I

ran out I ordered some more liquid ACE from US but it got held up at

customs for about 3 weeks and I was without it for at least 14 days

during which time I was just using hc cream when I felt rotton. I

suppose this did not help things. Looks like I will run out again in

about another 8 days of Adrenal Aide but don't want to go through all

that waiting again and also cannot afford the same thing (customs) so

I am not sure what I will be suppoprting with next, maybe more hc

cream again titrated better but I am getting little bruises with it.

I have been supplementing like this since I found I could not tolerate

NAE after a couple of weeks in the beginning of my treatment.

To summerise

ACE liquid adnrenail aide 6 drops 4x daily

500 mg vit C with bioflavs (some more c in other tabs I take too)

b comp

b 12

hc cream on demand

I don't put it up when I raise Armour, should I?

I am still afraid of oral steroids on my stomach so have not gone that

route yet, I am considering prednisalone but if I couldn't get hold of

them at any time that would be dangerous to suddenly come off so that

scares me as my doc doesn't prescribe it and I am afraid, it involves

planning ahead lol, not my best at that right now.

I know I sound hopeless and disorganised, that is probably true of me

and is probably one reason why I am still not well. However I have

read a lot of people who are much more organised and on oral HC who

are still having same problems as me so I don't know which way to turn

really Shiela. The armour alone would be easy, it is the rest that is

complicated aghhhh.

lotsa luv and God bless

daily. I was diagnosed by my GP who was concerned that one of my eyes

seemed to be bulging. So far have seen nobody else at all. I think if

my angina continues at this level I may contact the cardiology clinic

at the local hospital to see if I need to be checked over again.

I really do appreciate the help and advice you have all given me so far.

Hi Dawn,

Try isocort

http://www.forresthealth.com

http://www.wellnessworks.com

You may feel more comfortable with deltacortril if you can get it as it is

buffered so it does not upset the stomach.

I am concerned for your skin with using hc cream all the time even if you

rotate the places. I have just had 6 weeks of unpleasant treatment for an

anal fissure which the doc told me was probably caused by using pile cream

with hydrocortisone in too often (but if they had treated the piles quicker

then I wouldn't have had to use the cream).

Hi dawn,

Yes, HC with a coating to prevent gastric problems.

I too had problems with Echinacea- foul copious wind so bad you wouldn't

believe- my family asked me to stop taking it as I was so foul- couldn't go

into public enclosed spaces!!!

Subject: Re: aches and pains

Thanks

Was worried about Isocort due to the echinacea content and my antibodies.

What is deltacortril? Is that pure hc?

Lotsa luv

Greetings all! As I wrote yesterday the searing pain in my wrists

subsided. And for that I am so thankful. But today I am left with achy

arms. I do not know if it is the muscles that hurt or the ligaments or

tendons. It feels like I have the flu. I do not know what is going on.

Anyone have any ideas?

Blessings to everyone

Hi !

do you know if you have FMS with your inflammatory arthritis? It's a very

typical symptom to get the sharp stabbing pain in an area and then to have

constant flu like symptoms.  There are several other symptoms as well as a

criteria of trigger points that need to be met.

Hi ! Thanks for replying. I don't know if I have FMS. Is

that fibromyalgia? I was just diagnosed with ra last month and up

until the other day had constant pain in my wrists. It felt like an

ice pick was jamming through there. In varying degrees though. lol
