Guest guest
Welcome Lynn, Glad to have you with us. My name is s and I live in Denver Colorado. I am 45, married for 25 years to the same guy and have two great kids. Girl in college and boy in high school. I joined Weight Watchers in March of this year and so far have lost 55 pounds. I am hoping on Thursday to get to my goal weight!! My best advice is to drink your water and at first cut back on diet pop. I think water is the best liquid there is. At first you will have to be close to the bathroom, but the reward is worth it. I also keep my point scale counter with me at all times. They will let you have more than one if you ask at your meeting. I find having that with me is a life saver for figuring points. After a while you will know the points of the things you eat all the time. It is important though to try new things and not to get in a rut. Good luck to you. We are all here if you need to chat. in CO Illinois New Member Hello to Everyone! Just joined the group today. I am a new member to WW and starting my plan today as well. I have read all the materials given me and now will try to implement all the good things I have learned so far! I need to lose around 50 pounds. My activity will be walking daily for at least 30 minutes. Any advice, recipes, and ideas for this almost 40 lady would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for letting me be part of your group. Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcome. Congrats on losing 55 lbs to date and you will reach your goal! Yes, I have 50 lbs. to lose. Thanks for the water tip. It is strange, but I find if I buy water in a bottle and keep it with me at all times, such as work...I will drink it. If I have to go to the sink and get a glass full...NOT. I just don't do it. So I keep it bottled. I have looked at alot of the recipes from the file folder here and wow! Thanks. Guest guest
Lynn, I think walking is the best exercise you can do for yourself. I walk 4 miles every morning, 7 days a week. I started very slow though because when I started in March I was a complete couch potato. in CO Illinois New Member > > > > Hello to Everyone! > > Just joined the group today. > I am a new member to WW and starting my plan today > as well. > I have read all the materials given me and now will > try to implement > all the good things I have learned so far! > I need to lose around 50 pounds. > My activity will be walking daily for at least 30 > minutes. > Any advice, recipes, and ideas for this almost 40 > lady would be > greatly appreciated. > > Thank you for letting me be part of your group. > > Lynn > lmyxyard1@... > > > > >

Guest guest
Lynn - Welcome to this wonderful group and congrats on your decision to start WW. I started WW at Home on Aug 1 and also had about 50 pounds to lose. I am now closer to 50 years old than 40. It only gets better after 40! I think the hardest part for me when I began was learning what a portion of food was. Before WW a portion was whatever would fit on my plate but as I quickly learned that was not the correct answer. Write what you bite, drink lots of water and don't be afraid to try new recipes. WW has really renewed my interest in cooking. Good luck and I look forward to hearing all your successes! I love it - it only takes one hour out of my day and you get cardio, weight work, ab work, and streatching done all in one shot! Guest guest
Sherrie, I couldn't agree with you more - portion control is one of the keys to success! I can't believe how much less I eat now than 7 months ago.
