Hi Pat:

When I was first diagnosed I informed Bob that I have Diabetes but Diabetes

is not going to have me.

Cassie, When my husband was diagnosed with diabetes his doctor suggested

that he go to diabetic meeting. We both went and they were wonderful. They

really gave us support and taught us a lot about how to cope with diabetes.

Maybe you could ask your doctor about some classes. they are free. At least

in our area of Michigan they are. the two classes on diabetic cooking were

terrific. Just a suggestion. Nan

Bob and I have a friend that has Diabetes. Bob and I have both learned from

observing our friend's not taking care of himself and refusing to test and

admit that he really ought to be using Insulin to know that I want to

maintain my health and as normal of a life as possible. I'm going to do

whatever needs to be done in order to be able to stay healthy so that I can

torment friends and family alike for many years to come. LOL!

Hi Nan:

I am looking into some classes as well as the dietician.

I got a call from the dietician's office today wanting to verify that I do

read Braille. I confirmed that I do read Braille and also asked for print

copies of whatever materials she gives to me so that Bob can read them as

well.
