Guest guest
With hypoglycemia, a cup of pineapple is going to send you for a sugar crash. Pineapple is too high in sugar to eat that much of it and also by itself. Stick with equal portions of protein, fat and a carb and you'll feel better without getting the shakes. Guest guest
I have noticed that when I get up at 8am (or earlier), I struggle all day with fatigue, headaches and try to compensate with caffeine, sugar and carbohydrates to even keep my head up. Trying to work is a bit of a joke and Red Bull has become a bit of a drug when I have to work. But if I get up at 10am or later, I feel human. Sometimes better than human. I feel like I have my life back. AND, I have far less of an appetite, sometimes not much at all, and I guess this is what normal people feel like. I've been out of work for the last 3 months and have been able to sleep in until 10am. The most fascinating aspect about this, is that I dont need 12 hours of sleep. I sleep a normal 8 hours or so, sometimes less. It's just that I MUST NOT rise before 8:30-9ish to feel normal. Normally, getting to bed around 2-3am is normal. And I can wake a 9:30-10am and feel great. Of course this proves that my cortisol is all out of wack, which I already knew. Blood tests confirm high cortisol at night and very low in the am, rising slightly throughout the day. Even after 5months on cortisol, this hasn't changed. I'm in the process of working on raising my thyroid meds, and I suppose cortisol at some point (still on 20mgs). I guess what I'm trying to say that your lack of appetite might be a good thing. It may mean less of desire to compensate your lack of energy with food. As that is what it appears to be with me and totally explains why I eat to fuel my absence of energy. Guest guest
It is funny cause while I would love to sleep late, whenever I do, I feel much worse. If I am not up by 7:30, I feel terrible. Usually I have to be up at 5:00 am for work anyway. Weird. Guest guest
yes, that's probably where it's from. however, most of us can't find jobs that let us start at 11am or later. and the whole idea behind taking these meds is so that i can function like a normal human - ala getting up at 7am or so. Guest guest
Dahlia: Since I increased my Armour dose, I am having sleeping problems and wake up at 2:00 in the morning. Of course it could be the stress of spending thousands of dollars on a kitchen remodel and having people come in to install who cannot communicate with me due to language barriars and who trash the expensive items I have bought. The crew worked very hard this week but they just do not have the proper training. So I hate to complain and I am losing sleep over it but I will have to call the company and ask for some revisions, tho some of the cuts they made on my new quartz counter top cannot be fixed. So it is hard to tell right now what is really going on since I tend to obsess over my kitchen remodel, that has not gone so well In the past, before HC, I would wake up at 5 or 7 or whatever early time for work, and feel like I had a bad case of the flu. So perhaps the Armour or HC treatment has really helped in that area. I am also on growth hormone too which helped with sleep when I first started it. -- Re: Adjusting to Hc Posted by: " C. Mannelli, Ed.D. " : >It is funny cause while I would love to sleep late, whenever I do, I feel >much worse. If I am not up by 7:30, I feel terrible. Since I've been supplementing with h.c.--I just realized this--I have been able to sleep past 5 a.m. and I wake up and feel good, rather than terrible. Guest guest
How are you having your amalgams removed? I went to a very expensive " pro " who contaminated the heck out of me. -- Re: Adjusting to Hc Posted by: " hamerreda3 " >Thanks for the reply dahlia, and no i am not on any thyroid meds as >of yet.and as far as casein,i know some things but have no knowledge >in that, please school me as i adon't really know what it is. Casein is I think the protein found in milk which is the part that gets people who are allergic. I know there is a yahoo group-gluten free casein free, and I think they say that one is often allergic to both. Do you drink a lot of milk or eat a lot of dairy foods? If so, you may want to check out the group or do a google search on casein allergy. I believe allergies can make you feel pretty bad! And are a stress to the adrenals...or really what I find is that when my adrenals are stressed, my food allergies return big time. Then I really need to be careful what I eat. >Today i feel pretty good did some physical labor for quite a bit at >work, and no shakes. >I did feel a bit dizzy and woozy for a bit but i'm keeeping my >fingers crossed,i hope this is a start of a new beginning,as i still >have some more amalgam removal to go through in early january, and i >need adrenals to be functioning somewhat before any chelation >therapy. Thanks again to all. Gee, I'm surely no expert, but I treat weakness and dizziness as adrenal/hypoglycemia symptoms, so I: dose with h.c., drink at least a glass of 1/4 tsp celtic sea salt with 1000-2000 mg vitamin c, and make sure I get something nutrient dense to eat, i.e. protein and fat, and maybe a bit of sugar like a slice of apple or something. I probably would repeat this in 30-60 minutes if I still felt lousy, but too much salt gives me a headache since I started dosing with h.c. What are you doing to get your adrenals strong? Maybe others will jump in, Dahia
